I had an interview with one today. It was short... he told me he liked my style and that i could do commercials and film... He said he would call me sometime next week... Think he'll call back? The interview went well... He asked me a few questions and told me he would show my photo to a few people and see what they had to say.

But what should i look for in him? I know the "don't pay for anything" rule, so spare me.

The agency is in a huge building in Hollywood so I'm pretty sure it's legitimate. But like i said i know nothing about agents...

Do talent agents usually recruit right away? or does everyone get the "i'll give you a call in a week"

For all you young thespians out there, does anyone know who wrote a fabulous duet acting piece entitled, "Down Came the Rain?" It is a great play starring two men: a mentally challenged boy and his older, reluctant brother. The song, "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" is an important part of the play. I am trying to order this book from Inter-Library Loan at my university, but I have to know the author. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Best,
K.

I'm 14 I have taken acting classes for awhile and have caught the acting 'bug', I would like to be an actress, but I'm always being warned about the entertainment world. I think if I ever did become a movie star, then it might be a good thing, because I think I might enjoy the public eye (I'm not a huge attention seeker, though!) and I think that if I made a lot of money from acting and became rich, then I could help fight aids in africa or something like that, and use my fame for a good cause.

But I am scared cuz so many actresses I like today have stated that the buisness is just 'crazy'. I mean, I am confident enough to think that I could get a big break if I worked for it, but I'm thinking, 'okay, I love acting. But what if I ever became famous and I didnt have any privacy? And also I've heard my parents so many people say that they hate Hollywood today. I never listened to them becuz I figured I would never care about Hollywood anyway, But now that I want to be an actress...?

I am 13 years old and I live in Cyprus. My dream is to be an actor. I am really good at acting! The problem is Cyprus. As I told you my dream is to be an actor but not here in my country. In the USA. Today there was the ONLY audition for a movie in Hollywood herr I though if I pass I would continue my career in Hollywood! However, when I finished the audition I hear from the woman "Thank You" Just that! I acted that everything was OK. I was kinda shocked for a few seconds. Then I say: "Thank You" and I left. All the day I was acting that everything was OK but from the moment I heard the woman seying just "Thank You" at once all my dreams crashed..I mean that was the only way to get into Hollywood and I LOST IT! From 100 people I lost the role! Yeah, about 100 people auditioned. But, I am so crashed. i feel like I will never be an actor! And acting and music are my only interests in the world! How can I pass this and how will I become an actor under these situations? :'(

According to NYC Local Law 87 ALL NYC bussinesses are required to recycle any recyclable waste. But, I have yet to see one theater in NYC make an effort to recycle the thousands of Playbills that are thrown out on a daily basis. Why is this? Is there a loophole that I'm missing?

They are 2 and 4 years old, and really cute (I am being honest, not just a mom!) and they love to be photographed, so I think they will be great fot tv commercials, but all the agencies I have checked, they charge so much money, any agency out there that works without asking money in advance or at least doesn't charge that much??? Thanks!!

ok..i know you people have probably heard this question a million and one times, but i have searched for hours and have not found efficient results!! i want to know how i can find a good agent. i know that you have to mail in a cover letter, resume, and headhot, but to who?! i have been searching all over. i don't want to use the ross reports because it only helps if you live in LA or NY. i also don't want to use any online businesses because thats a scam. is there any place in Illinois (near Chicago, Hinsdale, Westmont, Oak Brook...ect) that i can physically send my things to!? i have been acting for over 12 years and i am experienced in acting. i have been in multiple plays. i have also auditioned many times but have never been able to get in because i don't have an agent!! please help me!! thank you!!

I want to get into acting.. what are the first steps that I need to take and help get this dream started? I'm about to turn 17 and I want to get out there as soon as possible (and by "out there," I don't mean I want to be in movies by the end of the year, I mean "out there" in the sense of auditioning or even getting started with this career.)

PLEASE NOTE: I'm not your average teenager and I have talked this out with my family.. I love acting and I don't want to be some "useless celebrity that just wants to be famous." This is what I really want to do, so if you have any negative comments about this because I am so young or "foolish," please keep them to yourself!

I'm not sure if there are people who want to get hypnotized for the same reason as I would, but anyway, the only reason why I want to get hypnotized is to increase my acting ability by taking my sister's acting ability. She's a really great actress, but she doesn't want to be an actress and I do, though I don't act as good as her. I got her full permission, she doesn't care, she's just going to waste her talent anyway. That's why I want to do it. Will it work?

Im 16 and I live in Miami. Please, don't think that I'm just anyone who thinks "yay I wanna be an actor I wanna be famous". I have my reasons to want to begin here, and I really would need to start now auditioning for something because if I dont see any progress now it wont even be a possibility in the future for reasons I cant say. Well, do you think I really need an agent? cant I just look for auditions somewhere to be things like an extra or someone in the background? I'd appreciate help on any tips, people tell me seriously I would make a tremendous actor, and even though the only experience I have is some school plays, I think I can do it.
thanks
