They're not lessons, it's a class. If you have a private session then it's coaching. You only do that when you have an audition or a role that you need specific help with.

The price of classes varies greatly depending on who's teaching, your location, how long the class is, whether or not it has a reputation for being good, etc. Make some calls and check some websites.

Of course you have to perform in front of everyone and with everyone. As an actor you need to learn how to react to other people... if that makes you nervous then you definitely need classes so you can get over that.

Check out workingactor.com, click on actors, then training and look at some of the websites there just to get an idea of what you may want to look for. In the end you want to find classes that are a good fit for you so don't be afraid to ask questions. Make a list of what you want to know, make copies, and write the name of each place you call at the top of the paper and go down your list of questions writing down the answers. Then you have something to look at later when you are making your decision.

Good luck

Depends, maybe, depends and yes.
How many are in the class depends on the class. You can get private lessons. The cost depends on the instructor and where you live. You usually have to perform in front of people, otherwise, what's the point?
