My daughter is currently taking voice and drama lessons. we live in miami florida and would like to find out about any auditions in the area for plays and or musicals. we are also looking for a new dama caoch.

Hey folks, I'm trying to write a comedic play (god knows why) and I've decided that I'd like to read a few more plays as research, etc. I'm intimately familiar with all those famous comedic plays that have been made into movies and what not, but what I'm interested in are those unsung plays that theater folks may be aware of but that regular folks like myself don't know about. By that I mean professional plays that I can buy online, but titles that haven't been performed a billion times and made into TV shows and movies like "The Odd Couple," etc.

Can any theater type folks out there recommend any good, funny plays?

I was looking on yahoo jobs and there was a advert for actors extras models ect so i had a look because my daughter (4) is a drama Qween so i sent them a picture and they sent me a power point presentaition but the thing is they want money paid up frount for a photo stitting i have been told its a scam but if there is anyone who knows ..................help please

i think i finally know what i want to do with my life... i want to be an actor! how do i get started? where do i find acting classes in NYC? where do i find a voice coach? headshot? agents? all of that stuff? i'm finally ready to take this step but i don't know how to put the ball in motion! My friend is leading a group of childen through a nativity play, which they want to preform for christmas. She is german as me but she needs it in english....! i searched the web already...they only selling books for it.... but if anyone got a short,easy play and has the time to write it down for me....then i really appriciate it alot. This is an emergency allright ya'll? Well I so badly want to become famous and I know I have the talent to act and be on Disney Channel so please help me. It would me so nice of you to give me great advice and great places to go too. I am from Indpls; IN and that is in the U.S. If you don't know! I am 11 years old & my name is Breanna Marie. I realy Realy want to become famous and I know I have the acting talent and I want to become famous now so don't say do plays or anything because we dont have anything acting related at our school Dont tell me to move to L.A. either.. I am 11.. Just please give me a way to become famous now (not just practice)! and if it helps I want to be on Disney Channel like Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens my top 2 role models.. I have 2 more.. emily Osment and Ashley Tisdale.. Another thing I get told I look like these people: Vanessa Hudgens, or Jessica Alba sometimes for some reason. LOL! I can see the Vanessa but nto Jessica.. All I am asking for is HELP!!

okay well to understand this youve gotta hear the whole story:

my friends think im hilarious and i know im totally outgoing and stuff. for them im a laughter goddess and everything.

well recently ive been hanging around some theatre kids since im in the upcoming play and they are full on HILARIOUS!!!!! they say the funniest things and they're so outgoing and they're just crazy!!!! i love it! the thing is when im around them im not funny at all. i act like a total plain jane and i keep trying to be myself but i cant...so they dont even notice me.

my other friend who is also in the play is totally insane with them and they love her!!! they think she's cute and like "a four year old" they say. i dont get it...she gets hug and huge welcomes when she arrives and i dont even get a "hi."

im trying to be myself but i just cant and now im starting to get jelous!!!! why cant i be my normal, funny self? is it because they're funnier? is it from jelousy?

My teacher at school anounced the school musical, but i didn't quite catch the name of it, I think it is called Me and my Lady. Its about like some heir who comes to take some rich estate i think, and it turns out he's a cockney. Theres some love thing in it too.

in Rent (the broadway show), what was the point of putting seasons of luv in the middle, why not in the beginning so that it could take place w/o the film
