I need a monologue off the internet somewhere that was actually IN a play, not something someone just wrote. I am in theatre at school and it is required that I audition, but I don't know what to audition with. What are some websites with monologues actually FROM plays. NOT MOVIES. Thanks!!

Alot of the modeling web sites won't post my castings, because of lack of portfolio and or personnal web site to show work. Most emails that I have sent to variouse amature models, well there is no response. These are legidimate photo shoots im looking to do. Seems like most models pay to have a portfolio done post their info and never respond to work. I have gone threw the proper channels with sites, very hard to get started. Asking people is another story seems like most think this is a scam or somthing or your a pervert and this is not the case. I plan do be doing this for some time and maintain a honest, respectful name in the business.

In a theatre class I was considered theatrically ignorant because I was not familiar with all of the plays of Eugene O'Neil, Tennessee Williams, and others like Thorton Wilder. The fact that I was familiar with minority playwrights was insignificant. Why is it a must to know white artist, but it doesn't matter if you don't know minority artist?

It takes a lot to be an actor. A lot of talent, a great memory, and a lot of intellect in order to understand the character that you're playing and thus play it believably. Plus, a lot of actors went to top colleges in the U.S.

I will award ten points (best answer) to the person who I think backed their favorite artist the best. You don't have to say my favorite, which is Brooke Hogan.

just give a good answer on why you like the one,
and why not the other two
If you have the most backed answer
10 points will go to you

hehehe

All actors play a character, but many are referred to as "character actors." (Example, Bruno Kirby who just passed away). What do they mean by this? What's the difference between a character actor and a plain ol' actor?

In Sweeney Todd, there is a song about cannibalism. I can appreciate all of the jokes, but the grocer joke perplexes me some:

TODD:
Is that squire,
On the fire?
LOVETT:
Mercy no, sir, look closer,
You'll notice it's grocer!
TODD:
Looks thicker,
More like vicar!
LOVETT:
No, it has to be grocer --
It's green!

I’m aware of a “green grocer” in 21st-century lingo, but it obviously isn’t the same for Victorian times. So what is the joke in the grocer being green?

What is a way to get discovered without an agent?
When you don't have money and live in Minnesota. I really need information. I am only eleven and I cant really get out some where else. I know acting isn't the only thing in the world but I love it and I want to be discovered
