I self write and direct a play every year and that is what I love to do but I am in it too. My favorite role is my role this year as donald trumps assistant and possible murderer, Caroline. Other than my own shows I played one of the skaters in roller boogie. I loved it cuz I got to roll around on skates all around te stage!

"Ten Little Indians" (Agatha Christie) was the ONLY play in which I had 'lines'. But previous to that, as a Stage Manager for 'Bye Bye Birdie', my 1st full fleged promotion from 'stage hand', I was able to enjoy the huge responsibilities as an adolesent with a large cast & crew in an exceptionally successful season of preparation & presentation. I suspect that the 40 girls in the teen chorus & some of the female 'leads' were the reasons it was 'a tuff act to follow'! But we were doing George Orwell's "1984" when I met my bride (40 years ago). The significance of meeting my bride makes "1984" the 'best' performance, even though I was merely a Stage Manager. The massive production of Bye Bye Birdie requires mention as a Stage Manager the 'best job' while '10 Little Indians' best meets the criteria for your question!

My favorite musical was "Anything Goes" I had a minor role as "Girls 1, 2 and 3" but it was fun because it was the only time I got to socialize with people with my interests and talk to seniors! I got to drag the hottest guy in the cast off the stage (to my bunk!) and my crush was my dancing partner. The music and dancing were great! It was FUN!
But my real speaking role that I enjoyed was Anitgone in "Antigone". An ancient Greek play, I played the girl who couldn't decide what she really wanted. In the end she committed suicide. I did the play for english and it was intense. What I liked about it was the fact that I had to act composed when on the inside I was screaming and crying with confusion.

I was Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest, Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, and Hysterium in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. I've done others, too, but those were my favorites - so far!

I performed in a production of "King Lear" featuring Hal Holbrook as Lear and Robert Sean Leonard as Edgar. Watching Hal (who was in his late 60s at the time) play that monster of a role was one of the most inspirational things I've ever been around.

I was Lady M in Macbeth (not a spelling error) It was a modified trailer trash version of McBeth. I got to crimp my hair and wear pink spandex (and trust me I don't have a spandex figure...it was great!) and I got to make out with a cute guy that wasn't my husband. We did the "Out damn spots" monologue with a flashlight. Soooo much fun!

"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" I played Nurse Ratched, a very mean, powerful, and controlling person. It really took me out of my element and comfort zone as an actress b/c I'm used to being over-the-top and the comedic relief. This role, I feel, helped me grow as an actress though.
