What is a way to get discovered without an agent?
When you don't have money and live in Minnesota. I really need information. I am only eleven and I cant really get out some where else. I know acting isn't the only thing in the world but I love it and I want to be discovered

I would say call the agencies around you ro try to see if anyone at the mall or look just about anywhere and see if they need help with their advertising and see if they can set you up with a photo shoot to help advertise for them but that is also helping you get your face out there! I am currently with a agencie here in Colorado Springs and well they send me to wal-mart and that's how they model things. If you dont have long distance ask for someones cell phone and you can ask them what you need to do to get started there. also the higt requirment for runnway is 5'8 or taller and well for print it's a varieus telling there! but give them a call and they should help ya out. They might say that you need a portfolip wich means some kind of phot shoot of you in a few different poses. then you'll need a comp card wich is your messurments and what you do in life like say I'm 5'10 with a size 4 suit and 5 pants and size 8 shues and what ever something like that. also dont forget to put in your activities that are extra currecular that you like to do for fun. It's long process but sometimes it's worth it! Most people say that they want money (dont believe it!) if they want you they will take care of ya! there is a few good words to remember! dont forget! I agree with kitty rogers. You should concentrate right now on learning the craft of acting. Your school probably does some kind of productions (audition for them) or offers classes (take them). You may have a local studio that offers lessons (even small communities do), or check out your community theater or regional theaters. If you're near the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, there are professional theaters that probably hold amateur auditions from time to time. When you do get a role, show the people you're serious about doing a good job by having a good work ethic - be on time for rehearsals, learn your part early, and don't be afraid to ask questions of those with experience.

Act in school plays and community theater for the time being. One doesn't really "get discovered." It takes years and years of learning your craft. Start small - locally - and go from there.

you can't become attached to anything you enjoy, that includes familly, friends. if your going to be an actress your on your own.
