Obviously being locked up with money is not freedom, but i'm talking about in normal life circumstances. An average person that's in a relatively free country. With money you have more choices in what to buy, what to do, how to do it, whether to work or not, etc. It does not equal happiness because they may have issues not dealt with but doesn't it equal freedom? especially freedom of choice.

What is intelligence to you? To me, it means being able to take something you have learned and apply (and possibly profit from it, too!)

How do people cope with everything that's going on in the world today? What do you do? Ignore? Run? Hide? Face? Why? Does the future belong to the people who believe in a better world, or is that a false hope?

Ayn Rand's philosophy illustrated in "Atlas Shrugged", explained later in the non-fiction philosopy book "Objectivism." Doesn't the principle of unselfish love and the philosophy of enlightened self-interest clash?

I am considering Philosophy as my major. What can one expect when pursuing this major? Are there any books I can read to get a better idea of what I'd actually be studying? Any other comments/suggestions?

Imagine yourself in solitude in a cave from society or just in a place with no one there, just thinking. What comes to mind? Fears, ideas, what you left behind, what you miss, what you don’t miss, reflect on the world.. What have you learned so far, from the society, from the world. What is interesting? Which culture, beliefs, and traditions do you like? Which don’t you like or want in society?

Would you want to go back to society, what kind of society would you want to encounter. If you wanted to change something in society what would it be, what would you bring back to society if you could?

Or maybe you want to stay in the cave because you don’t like what you see in society. why would you stay?

I sometimes wonder why people still continuously do ugly things when they are aware that in the end one should face his creator anyway.Or is it just a pure imagination for them?

Imagine that the Earth is going to be hit by a giant meteor in about sixty minutes time. It is now established and is unavoidable. Desperation might set in but surely you would spend the last precious minutes of you life somehow, and the question therefore is, how? What would you like to do? Where would you like to be? Who would you like to be with? And most importantly, what do you think would be going through your mind … has life been good .. or.. ?

Economic success appears to thrive; but at what cost in moral and spiritual terms? Where does the wealth go anyway? Not to those who most deserve or need it; why must the system of a so-called civilisation still operate as this?
