afraid that if you have your own opinion you would stick to it and avoid new ideas, and therefore lag behind smart people.

I was just thinking of memories and to this day I still cry when my mom said she wanted me disowned. It was two years ago but it seemed like yesterday.

We really, really, really want to change, we try really, really, really hard to change, yet we still do it anyway, despite our best efforts to change?

If someone has hurt or wronged you in some way, can you let it go? Can you forgive? I heard that forgive literally means to loosen or untie, like letting go of the anger or pain that binds you. That is the only way to be free.

It's taken me a long time to learn this. I used to hold grudges. I resented those who abused me in some way. But now I can let it go. I realize that when someone mistreats me it has so much more to do with them (with their own unhappiness, self-loathing and insecurity) so I almost feel sorry for them.

Someone was bullying me at work. For almost a year, I put up with it. Hating my job. I finally began asserting myself. Standing up to her. I told her how I felt. At first she apologized and I thought it was a breakthrough. But nothing changed. She went right back to being abusive. Now, thankfully I've been transferred. It's nice to be free of her! Unfortunately she retaliated by getting me removed from yahoo. Still bullying in her way. It's ok. I let go! :)

I was hyped up on drugs and stumbled on a realization. The realization that i blame things on things. Im mad because someone did this, im poor because someone or something happend. Blameless means that you cannot be blamed, but the way i use it is more of the definition of responsibilty. I was just wondering if anyone could link this with anything. I wanna put it in a tattoo because it had a huge inpact on me, but i was wondering if there was more to this idea.

Are we really independent?

Every choice we make is because of either:

The way we are, the way our minds work or happen to be.
And/Or
Events that happen to us in our lives.

What other factors affect our decisions? Every choice we make happens for a reason, a unique reason in only our lives that makes us choose something, or our minds work in a way that makes us always chose something... I could be born evil and my mind could work in a way to choose immoral choices... i could than choose moral choices because of an event that happened to me and changed me... e.g. cheating death. You get me... some might... Think

Some people say that religious beliefs can be neither justified nor refuted by reason. However, while sometimes this claim is used as a reason for rejecting religious beliefs, at other times it is used to conclude that these beliefs are established by faith. To what extent is faith a legitimate basis for knowledge claims, in religion and different Areas of Knowledge?
