Jesus Christ. He founded a nation based entirely on love, changed the way people interact with each other in business, politics and socially, all over the world. And the effect of his teaching is still felt today, 2000 years later. If you don't believe that, just look at the calendar we use; its based on the year of his birth. If we follow it strictly, Jesus Christ was born exactly 2007 years ago.

Noam Chomsky. He can break down the most complex of ideas into a form that even a child could understand. He is also a master of changing people's perception of the world around them by introducing new perspectives in a straightforward but diplomatic way. I admire him for that ability as well as his work in linguistics and his political commentary.

Malcolm X. Not that I ever saw him, just a movie once, and read the book. He was charismatic, which I think is an important thing in the make-up of a good speaker. He was attentive to his surroundings, another good point. And he was ready to change if he believed he should, even to the point of fear for his life... that made him great.

I could list a number of famous individuals how have a strong command of style and rhetoric, but honestly I'd say my grandmother and mother were and are excellecnt communicators... They had a knack for making me feel guilty for not being as productive as possible... aka," You need to clean your room because...."

Way more persuasive than anyother speech I've heard so far...
