Do all MAJOR things in our life happen for a reason?

Or is that wishful thinking? Is it all just random and there is nothing out there that influences what happens?

I'm not talking about a god or gods. I'm just talking about fate or karma

Importantly; do you (or should you) welcome the impending
"downfall" of the darwin-ist system (eg the educational system?)

the hero is brave, sometimes afraid.
he makes the best choices he can for the highest good.

then one day it occurs to him that he is a hero, and that there is a story. it has a beginning and an end.
he sees he is clearly somewhere in the middle.

then he has a thought.
it is his penultimate thought.

it is, if I am in a story, who is the author?

then he has another thought.
it is his last thought.

Am I not a part of the author, and hence
one with the author?

Greetings,

How can I explain this, there is a theory that has been suggested that ideas behave like genes in the body, are a basic fundamental unit, and pass from person to person infleuncing their behavior. These fundamental units of ideas are called memes--suggested by the famed biologist Richard Dawkins.

Here are my questions:

1. Does this theory of memes sound a little familiar, espeically for those who have read the pyschologist Jung, who describes Archetypes as classical stories that persist in humanity that describe our Human Nature...?

2. Do you think that there's any truth to the belief that there are persistent ideas that reoccur throughout history, regardless that environments change?

3. And related to the last question, "Is Dawkins being a bad biologist if he supports the idea that changes in environment don't necessarily effect a change in biology?"

Phew, a lot to digest, so thanks for writing...

"Who cares about any sort of virtue, who cares about honesty, loyalty and everything else that makes life noble? You take what you can get, forget about everyone else, and get to the top of the world. Get wealthy, get famous and your life is good."

Please spare me the posts from people who feel that philosophy and philosophers need to ask their permission to assume they are ignorant. They are. We all are.

The world is pretty magical. But as you grew up and suddenly all the magic turned into reality. Reality is boring. Nothing changed except you. So, how do you get back the mystical magic?

Thanks for your answers my good friends.

i was going to alter this question, slightly;but i think some of you can better see where im "coming-from" with it.
Some of you believe that for every question, there is an answer.
If you do,you will not agree with this that there are as many false answers to questions as true ones.
i and others believe this is the case because, not so much as
a faulty "vision" or dream(!),but because those who agree that
there is an answer to every question,have had much too much faith in their teaching/education;
What i mean is that they are neo-darwin-ists,probably and
realistically "without realising it".
My apologies for this little (non)questionable detail,to my genuine question"Why do you not think that ther are as many
false answers to a question as there are true ones?

Please, just throw out ideas. Anything will help. i already have the basic points such as:

with reason, you are less likely persuaded.
with reason, you may see things you may not have seen if you were biased.
with reason, you are most often correct and most people respect you.

Anything i may have missed?

In order to help, please design a book mark to unite to US instead of using the common business card.
In the front part of it, above, please place your logotype or your name, and write next: We invite you to use the motto whose author is The Noble People of America: “LET ALL OF US BECOME GENUINELY SINCERE, GRATEFUL AND RESPECTFULL OF THE ONE WHO GAVE US LIFE, TO MOTHER NATURE AND TO OURSELVES” It is accepted by all cultures, by Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindues, etc. so that by Conviction, more than by laws or threats we Live in Peace.
In the back of the bookmark, please write the sentence: Lets become conscious of the great value of Life and its Transcendence, so that by conviction, may become to be a reality the motto of this bookmark at front. By this way, we will arrive to Plenitude of Being and Existing, where there is not matter, space or time, but Plenitude in Whom Gave us Life. Then we will help US to be united again.
Please write also all your information.
