If you could notice smallest pleasures in life, then you are nearer to the purpose of nature's creation. All pleasures in nature are free, only we fail to notice them due to lack of time in our hectic run for "money". Every thing in nature is beautiful and they have a purpose too. Instead of enjoying them we are taught to dissect and copy.

Yepp definitely. But alot of people are missing out on all these I feel. Sometimes I will just look around me and thank the people who made my life possible. The people who planted the trees and flowers by the roadside, the people who created a diverse transport network and even the people who invented the computer and the Internet, so that I am able to now use the computer to type in how I feel to this question you feel. :) Life can be really great when you appreciate life's small pleasures.

definately. My life is just one chore after another. So when even a small pleasure (seems that's all there are anymore) happens, It's truly cherished.

Today I was in a hardware store with my 10 year old. I was looking at some clearance items and my son picks up some concrete smoothers (a thin rectangle plate with a handle on one side) and he says "Hey mom, look what they have here..." and he holds two smoothers and rubs the flat sides and places them on his chest and says "Clear!" and begins acting like he's just been pumped with 2000 volts! I laughed right out loud!

Most of the time!
There have been so many sick people, so many tragedies in the lives of friends and acquaintances...that I stop and breath and say how lucky and fortunate I am.
I have so much to be thankful for.
And I thank life (I don't believe in a superior being) for everything I live.
Though, some days, I just curse and swear but then catch myself and think about all the good that there is around...even in the middle of all this craziness.

Yes, and I thank God for them, for without, life would be dull, boring and so REAL! I also thank God for the pleasure of meeting wonderful people who make a difference in my life! That is one of the greatest things that can happen, that and the smell after rain, the sound of the waves hitting the beach, the colour of the water, the way the wind sounds as it goes through the tree's.. Lots to be thankful for. And I am, hope that all of you are as well, for as bad as it gets, there seems to be a rainbow reminding me that it's all okay......
Blessings everyone.

After an incident a few years ago, I do now. It's amazing what you take for granted. Sights, smells, sounds. Sometimes I feel like they are there for only me to enjoy as no one else even notices. If there especially amazing, I like to share them. Life's simple pleasures...

Gathering pretty weeds with my daughter.
Watching my youngest while she's breastfeeding.
My oldest's anticipation while reading her favorite book.
The smell of Fall.
Hearing the crunch of fallen leaves as my daughter steps on them.
Watching my baby suck her little thumb.
Reading scripture with my Mom in the mornings.
Praying with my husband at night.
Afternoon coffee time.
Hearing "Mommy".
The smell of impending rain.
Bright sunny mornings.

Yep! I sure do! I learned, a very long time ago, the value of stopping to smell the roses along the way in life.
