The world is pretty magical. But as you grew up and suddenly all the magic turned into reality. Reality is boring. Nothing changed except you. So, how do you get back the mystical magic?

Thanks for your answers my good friends.

Reality is experience.

As you experience you learn the attempted human truths behind many of the things you once considered magical.

There are many more things in this world to experience that science and many man made endeavors at establishing truth cannot define.

It is your ability to recognise this that will keep your magic going. Study something odd, look to things you would never have looked to before, study the unknown.

It is in all things outside our experience and ability to categorize that we find magic.

May be it depends on the people you meet and talk to. Magic does not turn into reality and reality does not turn into magic, it always is what it is, its parts independent offering infinite possibility. The Judgment is negative and the Will is positive. The Judgment has become crystal, solid and rigid, lifeless. The Will is constricted, suppressed and depressed in it and there the senses are impaired. Therapy is recommended.

The self is become self boring, everything has changed and you, and you have not lost anything that does not exist imprisoned within you.

You lost the magic because you found reality boring and nothing changed except you - this is what you wrote.

I disagree with everything you wrote, but then again I am I and you are you.

Reality is not boring and the magic is real.
Everything changes including you and me.

I still have the innocence inside me and I am young at heart.

Here are the lyrics to Young At Heart:

Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you
If you're young at heart
For its hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind
If you're young at heart

You can go to extremes with impossible schemes
You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams
And life gets more exciting with each passing day
And love is either in your heart or on its way

Don't you know that its worth every treasure on earth
To be young at heart
For as rich as you are its much better by far
To be young at heart

And if you should survive to 105
Look at all you'll derive out of being alive
Then here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart

And if you should survive to 105
Look at all you'll derive out of being alive
Then here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart

It might seem childish but go and read the book "eragon". it has a lot of mystical ideas and it can give you a new veiw on the world around you.

Or just imagine that something you do everyday like brushing your teeth has a new meaning than just putting a brush with toothpaste in your mouth.

another idea
pretend you are cinderella (if your a guy imagin that your cinderello) in the story some pumpkins and hay became carriage. what if something in your house that doesnt have much value became something that you always wanted ith a little magic

The answers of Nightfall, whtshdw, romer151 & Marguerite are excellent.
Truly, it isn't the loss of "innocence," resulting in the inability to experience magic ever again; it isn't even losing magic--just misplacing it. The child in us, so often stereotyped as silly, foolish, immature, is in fact the best of us. Imagination is essential. Look at things as if you didn't "know" what they are--use metaphors. Imagine a colour in a sound. Use flights of fancy to "imagine" what something might be. I have listened to my washing machine & heard: "All gone, all gone, all gone, over over, over over..." repeatedly, in a wonderful monotone, & laughed. I think of the coots at the lake as strange little creatures, all walking in a row with their shoulders hunched & heads down. Their feet look just like Chinese pea pods! Go for it! Where do you think creativity comes from? Reality? No way. So, get yourself out of boring mode & enjoy! Oh, there were also some shorter, interesting suggestions of things to do. Wake up that little bugger who has been sleeping too long!

Magic comes from innocence and as we lose our innocence through the years we lose the magic of the world. So I guess we can't get back the mystical magic but can continue to see it through the eyes of a child.

Oh, you can get it back my friend! You fall passionately in love, you follow a passion in your work or hobby, and soon a spiritual love develops. It is all very magical and quite wonderful.

Each day, you awaken with the wonder of a kid. You look forward, anticipating happiness and adventures for the day in hand. You become playful. You are an adult who has unlocked the glorious child within.

to believe that magical world is gone makes it gone for you. you can be astonished at what just good thinking can bring you. if your life is boring, get up and do something out of the ordinary. DONT BE AFRAID. this fear and uncertainty is what gives way to bad happenings. you should see a movie called " The Secret". also maybe check on a movie/documentary called " What The Bleep Do We Know?" in these films they talk about what i think you are talking about.

Visit the "Magic Kingdom." I never thought I would have so much fun visiting a theme park, but even a year after visiting Disney World, I still get a smile on my face.

There are many things that we know nothing and only pretend to know about that lurk behind this facade of reality that we have grown accustomed to. Just shake off the assumptions that one has made about reality and you'll be seeing a whole new perspective of things. Reality does look weird if you look at it upside-down...
