the hero is brave, sometimes afraid.
he makes the best choices he can for the highest good.

then one day it occurs to him that he is a hero, and that there is a story. it has a beginning and an end.
he sees he is clearly somewhere in the middle.

then he has a thought.
it is his penultimate thought.

it is, if I am in a story, who is the author?

then he has another thought.
it is his last thought.

Am I not a part of the author, and hence
one with the author?
