Does Right Always Win Over Evil?

I personally believe that women are smarter because their decisions aren't driven by a mad amount of testosterone.

I'd heard this before, but I came across the full version of a quote by Hubert Selby Jr today; his explanation of why he became a writer. Very profound stuff.

I was sitting at home and had a profound experience. I experienced, in all of my Being, that someday I was going to die, and it wouldn't be like it had been happening, almost dying but somehow staying alive, but I would just die! And two things would happen right before I died: I would regret my entire life; I would want to live it over again. This terrified me. The thought that I would live my entire life, look at it and realize I blew it forced me to do something with my life.

So this begs the question: how can we live lives that are not only fulfilled, but lived to our potential? What sort of activities should take the highest priority: fostering relationships? volunteering? spreading our moral imperitives?

I hate existential quandaries. (Adding more details, give me a minute.)

are we here just to survive and continue living, dont just say no because of god, lame. but why are we where why does desire to survive lead to evil attrocities that can ultimatley lead to our self destruction and demise. We fight wars to survive, however right or wrong, should we not look to find better solutions to solving problems, we have evolved the most yet evolved the least after 1000's of years shouldnt fighting and wars have stopped. war is the province of man yet no other animals go to war for trivial issues if at all, should we not unite and have a common goal to branch out throughout the universe, are we here to be more than what we are or is it we live to die and nothing more. opinions welcome

I am just wondering what are your standpoints on life.

It can just be your personal opinion.

I believe we are here for goal seeking. Many have been achieved. Many more are on the horizon waiting for us.

I realised that although i believe my upbringing was standard, mates etc, i was always so unhappy.

My mates uncle died last week, he was a bum since '82 and he told me that he will die a happy man. He never gave much to society he said but he had his garden and his 2 kids and he watched them every day turn into more than he could ever wish for.

He said that you can grow your own food, and paying for things you dont need is just what happens when you want to justify how much your life is wasted by making other people money.

With him in his deathbed, he said that one thing people dont get is, when they reach where he is, all they will think about is the kids or family or pets. If he worked, all he would see was possesions and he would be lying there not really knowing who his kids are because a 2 week trip once a year does not make a parent what they need to be.

Its bothered me, no matter what it sounds like, there is nothing there that is not true.

Thoughts?

I hear different ideas, different philosophies but I don't know which to follow. People tell me to follow my heart, but my heart is just a product of society, thus following my heart is like following what society tells me to do.

Basically the question above: if someone forgives you for some terrible thing you did to them, will God forgive you as well?

Are there any sayings in the bible that speak either way?

this isnt really a question but how i personally feel all the time no matter what. I feel empty...thers nothing at all no hate love worry joy. Nothing. and it scares me people can hit me and i wont feel it i can bleed and i wont feel it. my heads so messed up i dont know anything anymore. Occasionally my heart flutters and everything comes back but it goes as soon as it comes. Nothing makes sense anymore nothing makes me happy its ruining my life and it doesnt hurt. Its always a feeling in my chest sorta tight and everywher else is empty like a void where i should feel but i dont. I don't know what to think anymore, i see no future for myself.
people say its a phase but i know its not, ive had this for months now and its not going i don't think it ever will. I don't know why i posted this but i guess i never will.

When answering this question, try to make it as secular as possible and do not say "because I believe so" or "because I said so" or anything like that. And please do not say because God created us so we must be precious.

which do you prefer? to work in a multinational company but your only a technology graduate, or you want to work in a local company- while you are working is you can pursue your engineering course?

which one is better? just bear in mind that if you will work with that multinational company is i think you are only in a low level because your only a technician. But if you will continue your studies is there is a much higher position waiting for you.

Are you willing to take the risk with this very rare chance in working with a multinational company?

"As soon as we cease to believe in such an engineer and in a discourse which breaks with the received historical discourse, and as soon as we admit that every finite discourse is bound by a certain bricolage and that the engineer and the scientist are also species of bricoleurs, then the very idea of bricolage is menaced and the difference in which it took on its meaning breaks down."
