Immoral and Moral. Good versus Bad. Life versus Death.
One word: Absolute. What you need is an Absolute Defining "Point or Line" that gives you a ground to judge and categorize life with.
Christians have God, who is an absolute Good all the time. They use His standards because He is always Good. By using God and using His standards, they have an absolute perfect way to judge what is wrong and what is right.
Absolute. You need an Absolute.
The equation is simple. If you can find the one thing that is perfectly good or perfectly bad, then you can use that to categorize EVERYTHING ELSE.
Absolute. You need an Absolute.
Absolute.

There is a moral code of the community in which we live. Immoral behavior would be judged by the moral code or standard for that community. If one goes against it, then the behavior would be considered immoral.
I base my moral conduct against the 10 commandments. At one time the whole of society did too. Now what was wrong is now right and what was right is now wrong because of the political correctness climate we are now living in.
There is now a gray area that determines what is moral or immoral. It is more individualized now.

We decide it by making judgments. That are relative mainly in what as to do with morality with an exception - universal rights aggressions. But we are not able or absolute authorities in judgments. Moral judgment shall be above all a never ending talk in ourselves behavior and socially to have the notion that we might fight and stand for good social rules without fanaticism; on judging others private behavior always put ahead of it that we do not know enough to judge anyone

Morality has different meanings, but their essence is a decision based on ones upbringing. If their family, friends, and other influences have said that something is 'right', they tend to believe that it is 'right' or 'moral'. But, life experiences also dictate morals as well. If one witnesses a murder and is repulsed by the action, they would then say murder is wrong. Morality is, ultimately a decision made as individuals, a lot of its foundation is based on majority thinking. Why do North Americans not eat dog, yet other countries do? Morality by majority thought. I could write more in depth, but this is enough.

Hi,
I'm afraid that what philosophers have decided is that morality either comes from God or, if we reject God, that morality is just what makes us feel good.
A universe that exists because of mindless processes and is governed by uncaring physical laws cannot possibly care about who sits at the back of the bus. You cannot find justice in physical laws.
If we reject God as the answer, then the answer has to be that all morality is based upon feelings and feelings are based upon shots of feel-good drugs in the brain. So our desire for moral behavior is a form of drug addiction foisted on us by the mindless process of evolution.

Immoral is when you do something that opposes human nature like hurting others and when you don't respect the feelings of others. It applies to humans and animals
Moral is just the opposite to immoral.
To decide if anything is moral or immoral you have to ask yourself,
Does this have any benefit to me? If yes ask
Does this hurt other people/ animals? if yes it is immoral otherwise it is moral.

which way is up in outer-space?
without a reference to what morality is, determining what is moral and immoral is subjective to anyone and everyone opinions.
to use your meat eating as an example: one would say its wrong to take that animals life, while another calls it natural selection.
and what about abortion? some call it murder, others call it the perfect cure to the most common STD. pregnancy.
if we have only ourselves to base morality on, then its whatever you want it to be.

Ask yourself if the deed can ever be honestly judged as being for the greater "good' in any situation, or can only be viewed as an act of malice. Insincerity, is the first symptom of immorality.

Morality comes from a person's belief system.
For many, that belief system is the cultural morality standard, which of course falls far short of the morality of any religious belief system.
Many people today are irreligious.

You can judge immoral/moral by that gut feeling- your conscience. It's a radar that everybody has, but some choose to ignore it. That's when bad happens.
