There can never be life on Mars that humans can discover because humans would be the stronger of the species and would hence colonise the other species. If say the other species turns out to be stronger they would colonise humans.
With past experiences of colonisation, every nation threatened has fought eventually for their freedom which most have attained. If life was discovered on Mars and it turned out to be the weaker species, humans would eventually take over Mars entirely, making martians their slaves or inferiors.
I go as far as to say there is no life that will ever be discovered by humans or by any other being in the solar system,in terms of one species discovering the other due to the fact that it would mean eradication of the weaker species.
Positives say what if the species were the same in stature, then there would be war between planets not harmony.

I mean us as in destroy the human soul, belief, religion, and faith, as well as weaponry.
We have so much now, artificial insimination, cloning, new aircrafts are created, now cities are built, flying cars. Soon reguvanation, reanimation of a body, hibernation, robots, artificial inteligence. All these bafle the Bible or any sort of belief for that matter. Humans can become like machines, cyborgs.
Will these things, and many others, eventually destroy us?

Everything that has ever happened on Earth seems somewhat relevant to understanding our origins, our nature, and what we can expect in the future. Much of who we are as humans has yet to be discovered. But what if we were somehow destroyed in a sudden way, leaving no trace of our culture, our philosophies, our beliefs. Perhaps only the Mars Landers and satellites would remain as evidence that a civilization existed in our galaxy. What purpose would all of existence have served? What meaning would all of the struggle and acheivement have meant? Are we and everything around us simply souless bioligical consequences of some cosmic accident?

.... think there is NO Universal Purpose or Meaning behind any of this?

Either way, the whole Purpose/Meaning argument appears to be cyclical and humanistic, not to mention paradoxically "New Agey and Mind-Over-Matter-ish", unless there is an unending memory of it all preserved "somewhere" (figuratively speaking) in the very potential of The Universe Itself that is somehow fundamental to the core workings and physical mechanics of Its existence. …Otherwise, LIFE - self-conscious or otherwise - is ultimately nothing but a Meaningless Universal/Organic Exercise.

Thanks for your comments.

P.S. NO, I am NOT religious, nor was this question asked from a religious point of view. I AM MERELY ASKING: WHAT'S IN IT FOR THE UNIVERSE, IF ANYTHING AT ALL?

which do you prefer? to work in a multinational company but your only a technology graduate, or you want to work in a local company- while you are working is you can pursue your engineering course?

which one is better? just bear in mind that if you will work with that multinational company is i think you are only in a low level because your only a technician. But if you will continue your studies is there is a much higher position waiting for you.

Are you willing to take the risk with this very rare chance in working with a multinational company?

A yahoo user True_Brit recently asked the question "How can some people still completely believe the Bible?" The basis of most people's argument was that science proved the bible otherwise but yet there is mountains of scientific evidence proving the truths that are written in the bible.

The below site explores many of the questions asked by people regarding creation, the big bang, evolution etc.

http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/qa.asp

True_brit. If you believe in the big bang theory, what is your purpose in life ? Why do you exist ? A Christian has a purpose in life and will attempt to follow the teachings given in the bible. Christians are not perfect as when God created man he gave them a choice to follow him or not. Many people choose to do their own thing. I personally have chosen to follow the teachings of a God who cares & loves his people whom he created despite us doing things that he does not like.

Everyone has to make a choice.

I know that the satisfaction of losing 30lbs will be far greater than that piece of chocolate cake, so why won't I just leave it alone?!

Does this mean that I lack discipline, or does this point to the issue of self-deprivation and how totally unnecessary it is and self-defeating....?
