"Right and wrong greatly depend on ones point of view" -Ben Kanobi
That is all that can be said about that.

Zen (禪) is a school of MahÄyÄna Buddhism notable for its emphasis on practice and experiential wisdom—particularly as realized in the form of meditation known as zazen—in the attainment of awakening. As such, it de-emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and the study of religious texts in favor of direct individual experience of one's own true nature.
The Nuremburg Defense was invoked to justify the Jewish Holocaust at the hands of Hitler’s regime. In essence, this defense says that following orders from ones superiors absolves the accused of responsibility. The Nuremburg Tribunal deemed this inadequate defense, stating that the defense of superior orders does not trump morality. However, arguing on the behalf of the righteous, St. Augustine argued that from the hand of Divinity, or superiority, comes the path of righteousness. Thus, killing in the name of righteousness does not violate ‘thou shalt not kill.’
you want someone to tell you if there is a absolute path instead of walking and finding one yourself? I think this is the better of the options. seek out and read the poem "The road not taken" by Robert Frost. The key to many people is the last few lines.
Robert Frost (1874–1963). Mountain Interval. 1920.
1. The Road Not Taken
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth; 5
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same, 10
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back. 15
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. 20

Sometimes you have to step away from everything, and shut everything off, computer, tv, radio, etc... A lot of things come to you in silence. That's when you can really think with your heart and soul.
There's no clear answer, it's just whatever you can find that makes sense to you. You may find righteousness in helping others or in creating art.
Religion and spirituality can be a personal experience or something you share with others. Whichever is most fulfilling for you.
Most importantly, it's your life, your experience.

With knowledge of anyone's moral code, they can be manipulated beyond belief. Morality and ethics are the social training grounds of the attempt to control others. And wow, does it work.
Morality has always been used against women. There has always been one standard for men and one for women. Women can be easily controlled as they are trained from an early age to respond to these social messages.
Adhering to the 'product of society' is to accept the class and gender issues of that society. You can' help it, after all. You are a product of the society.

Stoned Philosopher is not stoned on this one.
He is absolutely right. Pick up a bible and read it.
Reading it has done so much to help me steer clear of trouble, and endure many things I thought I could not.
It is an awesome book whose immeasurable value I cannot even begin to describe to you here.

I don't think there is such "path to righteouness". I think it's doing what makes you happy. Doing something to satisfy yourself and doing something you feel proud of.
I think you need to be a little bit more specific as to what it is that you are having trouble with.

Right and Wrong don't shout out at you like some people believe, its hard work sometimes just to figure out what the right thing to do is, then you still have to work to actually do it.
