I realized this in my late teens. I realized that people don't always change when they grow up, you will be faced with more difficulties, sometimes it can get worse, things get even more complicated. There are constant battles. When we were smaller we had an image of what the world would be like when we grew up. I imagined that I would be happy and strong. My perspective of the world would change. Life goes in circles it seems. Foggy, muddy, troublesome. Free will, huh?

I just picked up the book and started practicing The Secret. I'm waiting for happy experiences to happen to me, especially since some pretty crappy things happened to me recently. I'm not wanting money or material things, It's something that means much more to me than that.

I would like to hear other peoples' experiences with it. Please, no negative or rude comments. No crazy Christian critisicm, either. I'm just a regular person wanting to hear about some good experiences for others. Thanks :)

Is it that society expects us to be happy for others that we gush & isn't it natural to feel relief when bad things happen to others & think 'thank god it didn't happen to me !' To what extent can we really be connected to another human being when finally we are all separate individuals ?

I am thankful that I live in a free country, where I can worship God as I please. I am thankful that I have my eyesight, and a well functioning body and brain. I am thankful that I have at least some food to eat.

But why is life so hard sometimes?

Right now, I am out of work, desperately and diligently trying to find a new job. I have no money. My car is in the shop, and the mechanic needs 900 dollars before I can get it back. My Mom has Carpal Tunnel, and can't work at the moment. We are suffering terribly in regards to finances. We are contemplating as to how we will pay for the rent next month...how we can buy food and medicine...and it's incredibly stressful.

Why is life so difficult?

How many of you really like solitude? A lot of people say that you don't mind staying on your own if you are comfortable with who you are... was just wondering how this relates being lonely..does feeling lonely mean that you depend upon the company of others to feel comfortable with youself?

How do we identify intelligence? Does free will exist at all? Doesn’t Man behave according to the laws of nature as well? The sun is void of intelligence because it works by natural laws in such a way that we can predict its behaviour. But doesn’t that also apply to Mankind in general?

-The earth always goes round the sun giving us seasons
-Man always seeks food for nutrition. You might decide what time you will eat but the fact is you will eventually eat lest you die! Isn’t this a natural law which you always obey all your life?

- The earth always rotates round its own axis
- Man always sleeps and wakes up. You might decide what time you will sleep but the fact is you will eventually sleep lest you die! Isn’t this a natural law which you always obey all your life?
What if the same natural occurrences predictable by natural laws are behaviours by nature for its own physical survival? What if the earth seeks its own food by havin to always go round the sun? what's ur opinion?
