Being near the one I loved most made me happy. Now nothing makes me even as half happy.

According to Plato, and for the most part agreed to by Aristotle, a person does not achieve happiness in this life but is a journey towards achieving it in the next. While we get small glimpses of it as an incentive, all we can do is try to move through contemplation, study, and work to get it in the next.
Bertrand Russell and Sartre both agreed that living an active life with both yourself and others as the receiptant is the way to be happy here.
Personally, i think that when both ideas are combined, you are doing all you can do for both this life and the next.

Hello and Happy Easter. What makes me happy is when I'm out somewhere shooting film or digital images and being in my creative element. It is so enjoyable to be out at some place that's special (and out of the ordinary) and have my equipment and get into things photographically. There's just something about zooming in on some lovely orchid or other flower and see all that beauty before me. Another thing that makes me happy is when I get my pictures back and see so many pleasing images I've captured. It's so nice to look over them all and think about the experience. Another thing that makes me happy is riding my bike. Riding my bike in sunny warm weather is nice with the breeze flowing around me, and it's neat when the breeze gently blows just under my chin... I feel like it's God touching me. I really like that. He's reminding me that He's with me as I ride about. Lastly one other thing that makes me happy is traveling to various places and seeing beauty. Beauty is my main focal point for my photography in satisfying that internal thing. Wish I were somewhere shooting film right now... darn! Peace!

I "guess" it makes me "happy" not to think what happiness may be.
when i don't "think" everything seems easy, it's me what's being complicated, not life, because human mind is the greatest prison of all.
Nothing can make you happy, but yourself. It's just a matter of point of view, and this is just a point of view.

Simply being able to feel emotions - the good ones and the bad ones. Being able to feel sad and happy when things go right or wrong.

contentment!!
without contentment, you may have a million dollars, yet you want more, how to keep it, how not to spend it, how not to loose it. without contentment, you may own half the world, & are still not happy. without contentment, you may be a miss universe 3 times in a row, yet the world will forget you after you recieve your crown & went home, with contentment, a dog is happy to chase its own tail or shadow. with contentment, a child will sleep when he's fed & dry. with contentment, you can live your life at peace with yourself & with the world, no strive, no jealousy, no rivalry, easy to learn, difficult to achive & attain.

Watching my baby playing makes me happy. Obviously hearing my baby cry makes me miserable.

not being unhappy.
this is what i've shared with my wife,
"whenever you're not happy you're unhappy,
but whenever i'm not unhappy, i'm happy."
this is all an attitude, you have a choice.
make your choice, you decide what you feel and don't blame on anything or one else.
God bless,
gabe
