I trust myself.

Realistically you can't completely trust anyone else because you can't read their minds. You can think you know someone your entire life (like your parents) & still be shocked one day to learn what they're capable of. Everyone harbours some secret. Some more serious than others. No one reveals everything. You only know people as much as they let you know them. Some are very good liars. Maybe I've become more cynical in recent years because I've been exposed to a pretty dark side of humanity in my line of work, however I think it's just more prudent to be cautious. Guilty until proven innocent. That is not to say that I don't love my family & friends & trust them in many ways but do I trust anyone 100% 100% of the time? No. Do I think that there is anyone on the planet that you can point to & know that they are incapable of any degree of evil? No. Maybe Jesus. The rest of us are imperfect. I trust myself because I'm the only one within my control. Though, come to mention it I do occasionally do something out of character or that I'm not proud of so maybe I can't even trust myself!

Trust no one....
But love everyone, especially you.

I dont trust anyone. I would like to aswell, but i find it hard to believe that someone will never hurt or betray that trust. I would rather stay guarded and love someone and have my doubts, than put everything into them and be hurt. Sure i trust my family but theres a point in me when trust stops and its all guarded. I keep things to myself, its just easier that way.

I trust my husband but I can't bring myself to trust anyone else at all. I have been hurt too much in the past, I guess I'm trying to protect myself.

Yes, I trust my dog, my horse, and the person who teaches me how to ride. My dog has expressed his love and trust for me, so has my horse, neither of them has ever tried to hurt me. My riding instructor has become my friend. She opens her house to me, her food, her heart, and her head. She guides me when I need guiding, hugs me when I need hugging, feeds me when I need feeding, and loves me all the time. I know I can trust her with my life, my friend's lives, and my secrets. You are lucky to have one friend like this in a life time. She's given me refuge in her house for months more than once, and never complained, she keeps inviting me back. In return, I teach some of her lessons, sweep the barn, and feed the horses. She doesn't even ask that much, but I owe her so much more.

I only trust those who are worthy of my trust. That's why a lot of people get scared during trust games of trusting people they haven't made trustworthy.
That's why we sometimes tell secrets; because we trust them but everyone is capable of betraying someone else's trust.

no. i like my constitution(mental,i mean) just the way it is. why 'trust' it to someone else's whims and fancies.

abraham lincoln said-
in times of trouble
two hands will forever be ready to help you
and they'll be at the end of your own arms.

placing your trust in someone gives them the license to hurt you. my dad always told me that no one could hurt you unless you allowed them to.
why take the risk?

in the end one is always alone. no one can really understand you the way you can understand yourself..
so trust no one but yourself and it'll never fail you.
