IF the likelihood of educational enrichment at home is low THEN maybe so.
I had been reading and writing by age 4 so when I started public school I had NO idea that other kids could not read or do simple math. And boy was I bored while they learned. I didn't know what was expected of me there. I would rather have been home and at the library learning something. And that's the truth.

I think it depends on the kids. By 3, both my kids were interested in playing with other kids outside of playgroup. So I put them in a preschool program 2 mornings a week. I think the socialization was great, and they learned to be able to take lessons from other people besides me.

At the age of 3 I think they would probably spend more time distracting each other than learning anything.

while i think they should have some type education,,, i do not think they need to leave the home and go to school
it can be a very informal education,,,,,, couple of times a day, sitting down and going over a color or number,,,,, or maybe having a "theme" color for a week,,,,
i do think, at this age, if you call it school, and they sit in a certain place, even if for just 10 minutes, this helps them get ready to adjust to real school, plus its fun for them,,,,,

No. They haven't even been out of nappies for a year! They still need their mothers. In fact, I think it is barbaric to seperate children from their mother at such a young age.

No because some of them just aren't ready to go to school. Whether it's personality or their social development, some of them just haven't been around there mommies enough to fully be able to be on their own for school.

The japanese have proved that the earlier you begin educating your child the higher their intelligence scores will be later in life. Why not give your kid the edge they need in a competitive world?

No. But even if they are not in school they are learning. Slowly learning on how to interact with their surroundings and understand it. And besides they are not ready yet for school let them cherish their free life while they can.

No, i just don't believe that a three year child can learn at the same rate as a seven year child.

That depends on the child. Preschool benefits some and harms others.
