for those who say they live for themselves - does living for yourself bring you in conflict with those closest to you? how do you resolve this - what gets priority?

I live for myself. I basically strive to be a little better as a person each day, and I also try to help others as often as possible, even it means doing a small thing like opening a door for someone.

I also am a seeker of inner peace and balance, as well as clarity of mind.

And of course I'm not selfishly only interested in what is best for myself. Hence, I help people daily in any way I can. And I have wonderful relationships with the people I love, and in some ways I do live for them. Although I think people would be lying if they said they don't live at all for themselves. It's Biology. Organisms (including humans) live to survive...live for themselves. That is that.

My son and me, although it can bring us into conflict if we get too close to other cousins they want the things he has.
We resolve it normally, keep to ourselves. The greatest cause he has is to make a family for himself, and have children just like he is. Everything he has goes to this, our own family. Happy Easter.

myself.you have to first help yourself to help others.if you have nothing to offer what is the point in living for others or a greater cause and to reach the platform where you make a difference to others, you have to first live for yourself.
about your second question. when we live for ourselves it cannot possibly bring us in conflict with our loved ones for in love there is understanding.relationships are not about compromise they are about unconditional trust, understanding and respect.
in fact the greatest happiness you can offer your loved ones is your happiness and success. i am the happiest when people i love excel in their chosen fields.

I still haven't found out, I'd have to say the highest being of living would have to be until then given to my family. My nephew especially, everything he does changes me in some way.

First of all for myself...thanking god everyday that I'm healthy and alive.

Then for my close family...parents, brothers and sisters...and I live for better tomorrow.

I always hope for the best.

Thank you for bringing out this question.

I live for myself. Even when I am using most if not all of my energy on my family it is still for me. In my mind I could not be satisfied if I were not living for a greater purpose than myself, so since it is in my mind that I am thinking this, it is truly for myself that I am doing anything.

we live for love. if we didnt love anyone or anything we wouldnt look forward to anything. if people say they live for themselves it just means that they have gone through a lot of trouble and suffering that the only person they trust is themselves. i dont think it is easy living for oneself. i have never done that and to be honest i dont want to do that. that is my opinion. hope i didnt offend anyone.

I tried every thing.

Came to this conclusion, some how, I was not their prey, that is why I am still breathing.

I am not pessimistic. 6 life attempts. 4 fatal accident.
Shocking but true, failed abortion.
