What can you do with your life, without using a computer nor a television? Is there something reasonable, such as reading, or writing?

As I smile and laugh, I cry in my heart…Everything seems okay, and everything is fine…the world might be a sunny, happy day…but its always misery, and melancholy skies…A laugh, a kiss…all just temporary happiness….a release of how depressing life truly is…for I miss him, and I love him…I would give my life, just to be with him once more…I might smile, and be flirting with every hot guy…but inside, I'm dying…for I have so much regret, all the cheerful laughter and peppiness in the world, can't relieve me from the emotions I'm feeling now…Sadness, misery, pain, regret…just to name a few….For my only release from this world…is cutting…to feel pain…to slowly die…Goodbye…I'll miss you…

The manager at the restaurant I work at gave me delicious green tea ice cream to take home as a treat. I also packed my dinner to go, because I had no time to eat it during my shift. On the way home from work, I saw a homeless man sitting on the street. I spontaneously gave him the bag of food and ice cream, asking him "Would you like this food? It is chicken and vegetables, and ice cream" He said "thank you" and took it. I know the manager would have liked me to enjoy his ice cream, and it is my favorite ice cream which I would have loved to eat now at home after a hard day at work, but was that a good thing to do? What perspective can philosophy give on this action?

I'm Catholic and I believe that there is a God and everything, but I doubt some of the things that He has done and I doubt that there is a place called Heaven and Hell. What's the term for that....if there is any. I was thinking agnostic, but I'm not 100% sure. Help me out will ya!

Why our civilization keep on developing?
Is it because of our brain?
Is it because of our education or etc?
Or is it because we learn from our past or history?

It would be nice if you guys could put some sources for me to refer. Thanks a lot. I'll appreciate everything you guys suggests.

i think this because life only serves a purpose. and that is to sustain life and continue with the evolution process. nothing more nothing less. no meaning just a purpose.

however, the experiencer of life can make a meaning out of his temorary existence. but one individuals meaning to life is different to another individuals meaning to his life. both are different experiences with different subjective opinions to the importance of there private existences. neither is more right nor wrong then the others. the only "meaning" or "value" to life is the one that you give to it. there is NO definitive objectified meaning to life. only the one you give to it. and thats it, and all that matter is how you see it. so in the end there is no definate answer to the meaning of life because there isnt one. just a short lived opinion of millions of others. what do you think?

BTW: please dont answer with god theories. at no point does god make sense in anything in reality accept to religeon.

I thought of the last line, so i quickly wrote it down and just started adding to it: P.S Im only 13 so sorry if its not that great heeh

It’s hard for me to live my life
Knowing that you love her
It’s hard for me to understand
That soon you’ll love another

One day I will confront you
And tell you my secret
Hopefully if you don’t care
The least you can do is keep it
This day I tell you holds the memory that will last forever
And I’m praying that this day
We will be happy and get together

After I told you, you had a deep stare
I knew once again, it wouldn’t be fair
My eyes started tearing, my face turning red
Tonight I knew that I’d be crying in bed
I nodded, pretending to be okay
I walked away and I heard you say
Baby, I love you too

The real question is how to fully distract yourself from the terrifying notion of your own death. Whatever works for you -- religion with it's promises of eternal life or rebirth, a busy job, attachment to others, attachment to objects, introspection/meditation. They are all distractions of the knowledge of death. That knowledge is what makes humans unique - beyond that we are just another species of great ape.

I want to teach men the sense of their existence, which is the Superman, the lightning out of the dark cloud--man.

Man is a rope stretched between the animal and the Superman--a rope over an abyss.

I TEACH YOU THE SUPERMAN. Man is something that is to be surpassed. What have ye done to surpass man?

Thus Spake Zarathustra.

so, there are three different songs which i really like, but i dont know who sings them & i cant find them on those lyrics search engines:

1) this song starts with the words "Jack is back"

2) this song has the words "dance with me, sway with me"

and

3) this song starts with a guy saying something like "make a wish & count to three" & the song is something about dreams/wishes

i would really appreciate if someone could tell me which singer/band sings each song (or at least a few of the songs, if you don't know all of them)

thank you!
