How can unity be indistinguishable from nothingness. Unity would enclude nothingness and therefore be everything.

Unity forms of something cohesive. Cohesiveness represents something. Something cannot be nothing in this circumstance unless dismissed. So if the unity that is indistinguishable from nothing is dismissed, then yes, it is nothing but is begotten of something, therefore, exists at best a reminant of something, which would make it nothing of something ending at existing at one point.

There is no such 'thing' as nothing. The exact idea of nothing is the void of something. So to answer your question, no, it's not nothing.

I truly hope this isn't someone's homework.

What distinguishes determines the answer. Nothing is itself, but goes no further than the approximation of having no reality within the grasp of the conceiver's knowledge, therefore to be unity it must be nothing as concept, but not reality.

As a reality it is clearly distinguished by the unity of mind containing it, and therefore it is not equal to nothing, but is subjective: that is, it has an identity of a subjective nature of being nothing, hence I say it approximates nothingness, as there is no such thing as nothingness...

Noooooooooooooo..... sighhhhhh Lets try this again shall we???? Read slowly!

"Unity" is identified as something, therfore its NOT indistinguishable from nothingness, therefore it IS something!

If it were indistinguishable from nothingness, it would not be "nothing" it would be part of "nothingness" Get it???
