You can take some time out of the day an go out and sit out side, either in a park or coffe house, and without the computer infront of you listen to all that you miss everyday because you are sitting infront of an electronic device. You can read and write, and by doing so you being to think for yourself, create yourown philosophy and begin to reawaken your imagination. It may seem gloomy at first, not typing for work on a computer, but there are typwriters at some librarys still, so you could still type documents without the use of a computer. before television, people got news from the newspaper and would read it every morning. You wouldn't be bombarded by so much advertisement so you would learn to shop more frugaly, and possibly have more money due to the fact that therea re no cable bills to pay. People who live next to eachother as neighbors would actually have soem time to talk to eachother and get to know one another well. More time can be taken in doing homework for children in school, and more housework could be done for the joy of the parents.
That is just the beginning.
God bless you and
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Yes, you can write by hand. You can read. I love to paint. I also play guitar, sing & write songs. I used to go hiking. Now that the weather is getting nice I'll have to start doing that again. Being close to nature is one of life's greatest joys. Most people don't do it enough & they wind up stressed & depressed. There are a lot of things you can do & enjoy without a TV or computer. Unfortunately most of us waste too much time at one or the other & avoid the other things we could be doing.

Life is greater than computer or television. Reading, listening to the music, seeing world cinema classics are much more worthy & reasonable.

Reading is definitely an option, along with music-related hobbies . I play the guitar and when i'm really bored with it, i pick up the flute and though i can't do much with it, I basically get a sense of satisfaction that i have't been lazing around all day ..

I read and write on the computer. I suppose I could venture out into the cold, cruel world if I didn't have my computer or television.

If we really don't have computer or tv, we will certainly figure out something else to do. When we have computer and TV, it's hard to think of an alternative. Abolish them, and we'll have new things to do. One of the possibilities are, we'd certainly have fewer obese guys and girls, fewer violence and fewer divorces.
