If artificial intelligence is one day created, will it not pose a philosophical problem, because humans themselves are just biological intelligent creatures. If we make robots work for us, and use them as slaves, won't we be undermining their rights? Slavery is a wrong thing when applied to humans, but what about when it applies to robots?

i've met quite some guys that are only interested in you-know-what and so I wrote them off because I discovered that if they can't love a woman they can't even make a pleasing, dedicated lover and satisfy her emotionally, intellectually & above all...sensually.

ps) I've been hungry for love for a long time and at some point I was considering just "being with someone without any obligations"
but I learned men like that can't even make it last for a longer period of time, so that's why I say they don't make good lovers and ultimately can't make a woman happy.

If you believe in either of those, how can you justify it? Where's the evidence? And if you say "Because the Bible says so" then how do you know the Bible is the truth/ how do you know there is a God?

And for evolutionists: what about the idea of irreducible complexity - ie. that there is no part of, say a human, that you can take away and still have viable life - that we are too complex to have evolved?

Christians don't like evolutionists, wiccans, witches, atheists and everyone else who doesn't share with them same beliefs.
Unfortunately, people of others religions, agnostics and some atheists do the same thing... Why they don't just calm a little bit? It's cool to believe some certain things but to say that everybody else is wrong...it is silly... Don't you think?

I have am in UIL debate, and this is the topic. I'm way out of my comfort zone this year because this topic is SO philosophical. I'm working on building my cases and preparing myself for rebuttals- anybody have any suggestions?

I heard a pastor state that "everyone, at some point in their life, realizes that there is something bigger than themselves" as supporting evidence for God.

My initial thoughts were "duh." Everyday, since I can remember, everything around me is "bigger than myself." Just look at a tree or the sky. Even my apartment building in a sense. I think about all the people, time, effort, anf money that came together to build it and so far in my life the apartment exceeds anything I have personally done.

Are religious folk so unaware of anything outside of themselves that it takes this supposed revalation to convinve themselves of an higher order!?!

Look at nature, the stars, animals-the science that is not "behind things" but right in your face. A deeper contemplation is needed for theists I believe. What do you think?

Could there be happiness without sadness, love without hate or cold without hot, good without evil. Are our human minds made in a way that we do not fully understand the meaning of something unless we go without that something?
