Has anything ever been like a "sign" that it is better to remain at home in bed than venture out today???

A man comes upon a bridge guarded by a tough landlord. The landlord says to the man, "I'll let you pass if you can tell me something that is true. If you lie, I will throw you in the water." The man says, "You will throw me in the water."

This paradox derives from a problem posed by Plato, but I'm wondering what you think the landlord would do? Obviously, he is lying and should be thrown in the water. But, if he is thrown in the water, it will make him a truthful man. So what do we all think? (I know it's a little too early for philosophy, but it's also a little too early to be drinking, but that doesn't stop me from doing it).

I know some do use logic, but it seems to me that most just act on thier own instinct and thier own beliefes. I know there are some times where leaders are forced to act soley on instinct, but most the time I think they should be able to sit down and think things out first and calculate all the costs of thier actions. Bush is the perfect example of an illogical leader. Why do you think he, and others, do not use logic?

I'm a slacker. I've gotten nowhere in my life as yet, I work at the postal services, I'm single, I don't go out... I'm very laid back, and if I see how others my age do, I wonder why. What do you think is best, personally: my life as a slacker or their "house-garden-tree" life with wife and kids ?

What do you think? Any feedback?

The meaning of life is to help the living organisms to continue their evolution and discovery; elimination if necessary.

All of us know that this universe is made up of 5 elements, all of which are being polluted by the second. Most of us have gone so blind that we have forgotten lakes, rivers, fresh air, mountains, and a lovely stroll in the greenery which only the lap of Mother Nature can provide.

What use is even the best of our inventions, if it pollutes Nature. All of us know that we are only as good as we feel inside, and only our conscience is the chief source of peace and tranquillity, which make life sublime.

Seeing all round me that only the external is development, which constitutes 0% of the source of joy, and total ignorance and inclination (in action) to do what is good makes me feel that I am living in a DARK age!

The only hope is in going back to Nature, as they say, and in the belief that we all have equal rights.

If the description of Life as we know it, can be explained in this Wikipedia article I have found: "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life". Then what word or term can be used to describe what is actually happening within the "Internet" ?, Could not the internet itself become some sort of living, intellegent, reproducing, self aware, have the ability to adapt system that tends to respond to changes in it's own environment, and inside itself, in such a way as to promote it's own continuation ?
