No, not at all.
For me, it is a way to give back, a social life of sorts, and a way to feel at least a bit useful.
I am disabled, and have a chronic illness, and am homebound more often than not, as well as being frequently bedridden.
For people like me, it's not a waste of time, but a very important outlet and part of my life!!

For the most part, but it depends in what section you are. Relationships, Philosophy, etc. have questions that are generally a waste of time. History has some good questions from people who need help with homework.
I love to look at some of these questions just to see how stupid people are! It makes me feel better about me.

If a good question gets you pondering, then it is not so much a waste of time. More constructive things to do away from the computer though.

Possibly, If such a thing exists. How do you waste time? Time passes whether we use it or not. How do you efficiently use time, when your end is sure, and all efforts go to naught overall? I say if you find joy in it, and you respect it, do it. Otherwise, it may possibly be a waste of time.

well, for sure some of the questions come from people with way too much time on their hands. but, even in face of poor questions, the witty and/or informative answers can make my day!
