We, the humans, do all our activities to fulfill some desire. For example, we eat to kill hunger or to enjoy... we work to get salary... we donate or do social work to get satisfaction and so on.
If God is omnipotent, omnipresent etc. then what motivates Him to run this world... to rotate the earth... to cause seasons... to prevent collision of heavenly bodies... to give birth and death to plants, animals, insects & others... etc.
Is it very boring to be God?

What does Heraclitus mean when he says that "all is one" and does it have anything to do with his view that the universe is constantly changing?

I'm currently researching the differences between Heraclitus' and Parmenides' arguments. I know that Parmenides believed that change was implossible and that everything was permanent, but not much else.

Last night I was sleeping and all of the sudden the room really got cold and I woke up and their was a black figure in my room and the next thing I knew the thing just went into the air. Here is the scary part EVERY WORD that was RUNNING IN MY HEAD appeared on the wall EVERY SINGLE IMAGE IN MY HEAD APPEARED ON THE WALL LIKE MY WALL WAS ONE BIG TV. My dog, which is scared of nothing was under my bed shaking violently. One last thing early that day I was having deja vu constantly throughout the day. What is happening to me?

Ps I'm not religious, don't do drugs nor alcohol, nor on meds.

Alright, well I'vebeen taking a beginner's philosophy class in my school and I need a bit of help with Plato's Theory of Forms. I would really appreciate it if you'd answer my questions

How do objects in the world participate in the various forms? In what way does a beautiful person participate in the Form of Beauty?
