We, the humans, do all our activities to fulfill some desire. For example, we eat to kill hunger or to enjoy... we work to get salary... we donate or do social work to get satisfaction and so on.
If God is omnipotent, omnipresent etc. then what motivates Him to run this world... to rotate the earth... to cause seasons... to prevent collision of heavenly bodies... to give birth and death to plants, animals, insects & others... etc.
Is it very boring to be God?

To answer your question I'll start from your first sentence: "We, the humans, do all our activities to fulfill some desire." We, as humans and mortal, as opposed to eternal, are incomplete. The desire is the need to fulfill that void and a part of our Life is made of that constant search for something we do not have. We are not self sufficient, sou we need to complete ourselves with something that we do not have. A desire is the search for that inherent absence. Being absence of food, water, or the company of others. All things that also are not eternal. GOD, being eternal, does not need to complete himself, because he is outside of time. Being everything He already IS and does not need to BECOME. He WAS, IS and WILL BE, always complete. God does not crave, because he is everything. And also GOD does not get bored because boredom it's an exclusive human condition. To be bored is to feel the passage of time unfulfilled, with nothing to do. To be bored is to feel time dragging ourselves through the days. Being outside of time GOD "does not have things to do or dead time on his hands".

I believe that we are what motivate him.
He could, at any time, cause this entire world to shut down. But, do you remember the promise He made Noah? He would never cause the world to run 'amuck' again.
Though, at times, He is shaking his head at us and our use of His resources, He sees those few flames burning for Him.. those few people wanting this world to turn around. Soon, He can see that 'His people' will run this world. They will show the world hope, peace, and love. They will show the world God's love.
That is why He continues His job.
I don't think it would be boring to be God. Only because there is so much suffering in this world, I assume He is constantly having someone else realize they need to help. He also has all those prayers.
I think it would be exciting to be God, only because He is always problem solving and working things out to fit into the wheel of time.
Then, in the end of anyone's life, He finally gets to meet them up in heaven.
How exciting would that be?

The motivation behind the very creation of the world is interesting thing. The reason given in the Vedas(Hindu scripture) is that God created the world and the creatures for his fun. This fun is called as divine play(leele in sanskrit). If you understand this, then there is need to worry for material losses as it belongs to Him. To be descriptive, god first created innumerable souls and the material nature from his self energy. Instead of directly placing the souls in the material nature, he wrapped it inside the body that was made of material nature. So the indivisual soul has to rise up beyond the forces of this material body. For this to happen, Gold made the religion. Religion tells that we have to be free of anger, lust and over-eating, and so on which is resulting from the material body. In fact the soul does not feels these feelings. In this way, God is actaully playing with the souls. The ultimate goal of life is to liberate from this material nature and go to the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God of is called in many names in different religions.

He is The creator.He is the source of motivation.Look around u.Look at the nature.I can see His nature and character thru His creation.Are u into ornithology??(bird watching(not girls))Not a single bird is same as the other.look at the color combinations.What about the sunrise and the sunset?Not a single day is same as the other.By the way this motivates me to rise up early.Never like to miss the sunrise.So my friend God does not need motivation as u and i coz He is the very source of motivation.My opinion.Take it or leave it.

You are trying to reduce God to our own level.Our brain is limited .Even in that some are very dull. Exceptionally one or two persons are born who are genius. We cannot even understand the genius amongst us.How do you expect you will know the secrets of omnipotent,omnipresent and the omniscient one?

The Bible says that God is love. He created us to express his love,
for created creatures including man. In a way, I think we are like a problem he is working out, by showing different possibilities ending in the total expression of his being.

God is everything because God is nothing. God is us. God is the dreamer and we are the dream. God is not a God per say, but God is everything that could ever exist put into one. God is the undefined dreamer and we are the defined dream. God is not separate from us, God is us. God is nature. Nature is universal.
