I know Y! A has the commercial now and may have attracted stupid people but man, this category is for intellects, and the question I’m seeing aren't intellectual, I can see having spelling and grammar errors, but just plain dumb questions.

------------------I know I’m about to get the bucket for posting this question, but you have to admit it, especially the older users, who were here before the layout changes.

Even if we accept the Big Bang Theory
One mystery remains... What caused the Big Bang?
Everything that begins to exist must have a cause.
If the universe began to exist, then the universe must have a cause.
And the cause could be God.
If the big bang theory is true, then we can conclude God is not the same as the universe and God is not contained within the universe as he would have to stand out of it in order to create it.

Which brings my question
Why did he built such a vast Universe to put a tiny planet in the middle of it with only two people on it?

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." - timo cruz(coach carter)

I have a strange relationship with a woman. She's 30 years old but she's still living with her parent. She also has a curfew that she's to be home before2.00am. She's working and studying master's degree. She told me that it was her culture that she has to live with her parent before she gets married. Now I think that I could never be serious about her because I feel that she's so immature. We have been dating for 15 months. What am I supposed to do?

..along with the system...even if it means suffering for themselves in the longterm (in the form of maldesigned medicines, offspring or other loved ones killed or maimed in war or preventable accidents). I suppose that I have to understand that in certain middle-east countries, for instance, the populace is not given a choice to select their own belief system, they're still at the stage of obey and act like you believe..or else!! Thus controlled, they can be used to start wars and so on..still I wonder if there's anything in their scriptures, since they're so religious, that preaches non-violence and so on?

I am trying very hard to stop looking to television to provide me with answers. I will be in a real life situation and will wonder how Tony would deal with it. Or I will think, well if this does not bother Seinfeld why should it bother me? Do you think the television has given people a distorted view of reality?

free will. do we have it, or does god dictate and script everything we do and say and want? do we have free will or do the mass media and our culture control us our desires and actions, from the moment we're born? do we have it or is my mind under control of a spell? do I really want a big house, a fast car, a thousand beautiful sex partners? do I really want these things or am I trained to want them? are these things really better than the things I already have? or am I just trained to be dissatisfies with what I have now? am I just under a spell that says nothing is ever good enough? maybe the only way to find freedom is to do the thing I don't want to.

Or were was the bottom rung of it just removed? While a person can no longer legally be owned by someone, how do you explain someone that owes huge medical bills from a malignant cancer? Just to stay alive, they had to have a horrendously expencive medical procedure. Now they spend the rest of their lives barely scraping by so that they can pay for the privilege of being alive, trying not to lose the little they have aquired, while constantly battling lawsuits, bill collecters and being denied bankruptcy. Is that life any different than slavery?
