Well I don't agree with the first part.
Our deepest fear is our inadequacy.
Our inadequacy to deal with the unknown.
But I agree with the last part.
When a section of the community becomes hopeful and happy, soon the whole country is hopeful and happy.
If people are worried, the whole country is worried.
The mood of the people determine if a country will have an economic boom or a recession.
Quite often, big business trick the people by creating an artificial sense of economic boom, like with the share market, to keep the people happy and confident in the hope that they will boost the economy by continuing to spend money.
Are we not clever? Clever copycats.
Who said that we were only clever chimpanzee?

Marianne Williamson originated this quote in her book Return To Love. Later, Nelson Mandela was quoted as having said it in his inaugral speech.
What do you think of it? How does it inspire the spirit and take even the least of us to new heights? Why can't we find these inspirations inside ourselves?
Fear is our biggest bugaboo, isn't it? Fear of ridicule? Fear of being judged by others? Even if we are ridiculous and may be judged, if we don't give it a shot, then where are we? Right where we've always been, in the shadows.
Recently, Michael Richards was prodded into a mental melt down in a comedy club. There may be no excuse for his behavior, however, we know that he's the guy who always took things to the limit in his acting. Before Seinfeld, he was on a show called Fridays that was not as successful as Saturday Night Live, but on it, his characters were the outrageous and bizzare. If you are willing to allow yourself to move to the edge of safety and then really go for it, you may crash and burn as Richards did. Or..
Or.. you may discover new heights of creativity and confidence, leaving fear and inadequacy in the dark where they belong, emerging into the light. Shrinking from this personal responsibility is what most of us do. Emerging .. our personal emergence.. is waiting.
Are you ready?

Im not sure that I agree with that... Our deepest fear is not that we are powerful beyond measure. It is the fact that in trying to be the best that we can be, there is always a chance of failing completely. We do indeed fear the inadequacy.

That sounds so familiar to me. I can't remember who said it, but it didn't start with a movie. What is means is that we are each one meant for greatness. We are not fulfilling out potential. We are far more than we think we are and most of us are afraid to try for fear that we will succeed beyond all expectations. There was a book back in the 1970's called "Johnston Livingstone Seagill" that had that type of theme. We all need to Fly!!

That hasn't been my life experience. The stronger I got, the more intimidated others were. I alienated people without meaning to. Of course, part of this was because I'm a woman & worked with men.

very nice but is it our unlimited potential that people are really afraid of? it could also be the road to that is what we fear, the hardship, the pain, the fear of failing right before you get there, trust me its not easy to remove fear, this quote sounds like l ron hubbard scientology, but one good thing that can come out of this is when you suffer, and endure it builds character, and establishes virtues,
