I believe with life the sheer love & understanding the beauty of its essence can be touched by anyone & everyone. But I wanted to know does money help with this does it intensify or cultivate these emotions more? (say when someone's worth £5 - 50 million.) Thanks

Choosing the right battles is very tricky. When is persistence a bad thing? When does self-discipline become unhealthy? When is it best to simply make peace with your situation, and when is this a tragic form of surrender?

do you truly believe in it

you can't choose your family, your gifts, your potential, your physical appearance, etc...

these are all the basics to take you where you can go, not where you want to go

agree?

I am tired of getting crying every now and then. Even when I watch something unpleasant, say someone suffering, I am unable to hold back my tears. Feel like an idiot especially in presence of my grown up children. I suffer because of this habit as my hubby also think that I cry to freshen up myself. My hobbies are reading, watching TV (not daily soaps), listening music. I feel that I am not strong enough in sense of keeping control over my emotions. Even when someone gets retired in my office, I find myself unable to attend the farewell party. Sometimes I think I am misfit in today's world. Suggestions to get inner strength ?

the more I look at life, the more I see everything depends on the free will alone and not your connection with God. if I look at the people I know who are truly happy, these are all athesists, not deeply religious people. the religious people I know, are always struggling.

how do you explain, for instance, that everything works out for a truly selfish person.

I don't have a specific question, I just wanted to talk to you about this a little bit.

people succeed if they rely on themselves (the concept of free will). they don't need to be moral/"good".

thanx

I had this moron who told me off and said that i was an herectic/apostate becos i disagreed on selected parts of religion, worse still i've in real life i've encountered physical violence simply for asking questions about inconcistensies in religion.

Who decides what is above public contestation in religion and decides what a beleiver should be?

Should these self appointed guardians of the faith alone have a monopoly on what is allowed to be open for debate?

Who elected them as keepers of the faith anyway?

Thanks.

P.S; sure it's not a phil question, i've asked on the R&S subsection and wasn't pleased with the answers.
