I've never been to a place, but I remember this image... a vague image of being somewhere, and I don't know how or when I remember it. I also get certain "feelings" that I have lived in a certain time. I definitely believe in reincarnation, to some extent; where does our bodies' energy go after we die? It is an unseen force. This is hard to explain, but we are all just bodies. With senses. We don't have a spirit, or soul, or anything. There is no person within our person, so when we "reincarnate", that doesn't mean for our soul to end up in a new body.
I wish I had a way to explain how I felt about this...
But anyways, I don't think we have missions in life. Who would give us these missions? How would we know what we are, and if we tried at them, and if we accomplished them?

Not sure about past life as a different person, or even a "main" mission, but I have had several missions to take care of, and I feel the good Lord isn't done with me yet. I don't know yet what's in store next, but as for meeting someone that seems familiar, I feel that way about my husband. We fell into such a comfortable place so fast it seems like we have done this before.

I spent many years of my life thinking that working and supporting my family was what life was all about.
Thank God I finally realized that while those things are important my fulfillment and purpose comes from other areas.
I currently spend a lot of time writing, about life's observations, and doing what I can to help others in their struggle with life.
My mission now is to leave this world, or my small part of it, a better place for my having been here.

At one point in life, I was like you. Asking the very same questions and wondering what life is all about. Why me ? What on earth am I doing here ? Meditation, Positive Thinking, seeing everyone as soul, but still struggling with people-relations, staying alone and aloof.
All that has changed now. I am now a people's person, not the party-type but the psychology type.
To me now the best news is that I am alive. Still breathing as usual. Breath is truly the miracle of all miracles. Without it, the universe disappears like an illusion.
When you are aware of every breath, then you begin to feel peace within, serenity, tranquility, fulfullment, joy, happiness. All these are mere words if you do not feel them.

I'm not sure all of us have a mission. Take the mosquito for instance: what possible mission could it have? To suck the life out of as many living beings as possible and/or inject them with infectious disease?
My mission is to take up space without anyone ever realizing I'm there.

Once you have accomplished a mission, the next presents. We view them as goals. It is all good, a reason to greet each new day.
No one really understands deja vu. It seems to occur more with children, who knows? If there were past lives, children have not had the input from this life yet and "past memories" may surface more easily

We all have a mission in life. Try reading the book "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. It talks all about your purpose in life, a.k.a. your 'mission'. Very informative.
Right now, my mission is to unify my church. The same people have been attending my church for 30+ years. Yet, they have to use name tags to know each others' names. So, I have been trying to get them closer together. Why do I think this is my mission in life? Well, I wanted to go to a different church, one that talks more about salvation than repentance. But, God keeps calling me back to my original church.
That's my story.

Our mission is to love...to love romantically, to love as friends, to love as families, and as mentors and students and as fellow humans sharing similar experiences...that is everyone's mission whether they know it or not. Through love we come closer to the divine, regardless of what religion you sbscribe to, or if you don't subscribe to any and are an atheist the fact remains irrefutable that love, the hope to love, and the need to be loved wins out over all! That is the mission and evverything else is secondary!
