It is the journey and lessons learned along the way which have the greatest value in where you are today.

Many times we enjoy the striving more than the prize. That's why sports is such a big part of life, we love the competition and appreciate our fellow competitors. Some time vieing for the affection of another person at the same time as another suitor we get caught up in the competition and when we are chosen the winner or won the hand of the significant other we feel a sense of disappointment, because the prize wasn't what we enjoyed it was the game.

Dear Giorgi,

Questions are more difficult than answers. Life is more difficult than death. Asking questions is a way to express your personality. By asking this question, you have answered yourself to you, the truth beneath it. This is one of those charismatic questions, which can change the whole outlook of an individual towards the philosophy of life, towards our existence and towards what we experience.

That was about the question. Now the answer. Enthusiasm, zeal, zest, dreams, smiles, laughs and many more such words are sufficient to express the way we travel in life. We travel towards death. Everybody is travelling towards death through the passage of life on the train of virtual existence. On the way, there are several stops, we meet a number of co-passengers, some go longer with us, some get down on next stops.

During this journey, we have a mission, knowingly and unknowingly. The persons who travel unknowingly, never ask such questions. The persons who travel knowingly, start thinking about the whole drama of our existence. Such persons as yourself, start looking forward to the real meaning of what we are, from where we have come and where eventually we are leading to!

When you start peeling the onion, keep on separating each layer of it and finally there is nothing. This nothingness is the bliss and called state of extreme meditation. Why? Because when we are not satisfied with this LIFE ITSELF which is the best miracle of NATURE (I dont speak in terms of God), then how a true person looking for a TRUE LIFE would be satisfied from what he or she achieves or gets (your question) which is much smaller than THIS LIFE itself? All our achievements for example, getting a good job, finding a partner, finding a car of your choice or whatsoever are the achievements which are much smaller than the life. It is like very small drops in the big ocean of life. These achievements are like small pencil dots in a big circle. That's why we dont want it at the end because WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING MUCH MUCH BLISSFUL AND BIGGER THAN LIFE as we have already attained LIFE in its PHYSICAL FORM to enjoy.

This is the reason Giorgi that all the spiritual persons talk a lot about ethric and astral bodies because the PHYSICAL attainments are very little and shortlived.

I congratulate you that you are on the right path and now seeking the truth which very very very few people do in the MODERN age of Corruption, Terrorism, Consumerism, Hatered, Jealously and SO CALLED LOVE. (Yes........so called Love). The love we are see around us HAS TO DO nothing with LOVE. It is based on some MOTIVE, GREED, OBJECTIVE, SEX or something else. Hence it is not love.

I am sure, you will certainly get my point. These are my own thoughts and I dont mean to hurt anybodyelse. If I have done that unintentionally, please do forgive me dear readers.

Dr. Kumar

most of us have a very hard time describing what we want in detail if you could walk out your door and have the best possible life what would it be like. without knowing the answers to that question in small detail how would you recognize it if you got it? if you really want something in this life you should know exactly what that something is not just its name or title but everything about it so that when parts of it drift by you you can recognize them as part of the whole thing that you want and take them and use them as part of the puzzle until every piece fits then all of a sudden you have what you wanted and its feels right not just the end of another half-realized chase down some dark alley of so called desire

It is a process of life that teaches one that the target was vanity, and could never in reality be beneficial. After some failures (vain targets accomplished), then more thought is given to future targets, and then the "real" progress begins.

Buddha explains in the four Nobel truths.

1 The existence of suffering (Samsara), IE in life there is always suffering, either physical or mental suffering.
2 The causes of suffering , IE that our desires like a drug needs to be constantly feed like a hungry beast (The Mara).
3 The cessation of the causes of suffering, turning away through mediation and right thought (Leading to forming insight) from all forms of desire including speculations on the future, and to live in and appreciate the present.
4 The path that leads to the cessation of the causes of suffering.IE the way of life which puts more value on contentment than seeking the impermanence of fleeting happiness.
Hope this helps you out like it has me.

The whole life is a big journey and no one can say that this is my destination. However, we take a break journey at various stations in our life and continue with it to the end. I think the target that is talked of in the question is one of the stations that falls on the way in the journey. :)

The pursuit and chase is the main thrill of it.

I guess thats why Fergie couldn't retire after winning the treble even though he said he wanted to.

The thought of something is often better than the real thing! We all need a dream and something to strive for in life to motivate us otherwise change would never occur and we'd all be pretty stagnant!

You enjoy the hunt. The challenge is what you really seek as you like to test yourself. You do not wish to basque in the glory of your achievements.

Perhaps you could carry out challenging tasks that are of benefit to others (it appears there is nothing you desire) maybe what you truly seek will present itself in time.

Follow your instincts!

Because in the end you understand. Once you understand completely what you want and why and what it could do to everything, one would think better of it.
