Someone with a true smile. Hearing someone laugh a good and true laugh. Seeing someone in love. Seeing someone else be truly happy always makes me happy. My family can sometimes make me happy, so can friends. But seeing a true, real, caring person put up with the rest of the world and smile is really great. Not a fake smile with words saying the opposite hidden behind it. Not a smile caused by the destruction of others or someone being put down by others. Someone truly smiling and having a good time and being truly and honestly happy at something truly good. Especially now, in this world, a happy person is more rare.

Living…Life…
Everybody I know...Everything I've done (even the bad stuff).
The fact that I am in good health, have a future - no matter how distant or despairing it is - makes me happy every day of my life. The fact that my family is all living (even if they are not all as healthy as they could be) brings a smile to my face. The fact that I have a wonderful man that appreciates me for who I am and what I am doing, who loves me even in the mornings with my nasty morning breath and frizzy hair brings joy into my life. My nieces and nephews (Jasminka, Damian, Ola, Anita) brings the ULTIMATE joy in my life.
Last but not least, the fact that I live in one of the healthiest cities in Canada (if not North America), one of the BEST cities in the world (although I think our quality of living is falling dramatically…damn economy), that has the BEST DAMN HOCKEY TEAM EVER (Calgary Flames will win the cup this year I lie to you not!!!), makes me probably one of the happiest people in Calgary, if not Canada, NA, or the world (although I kinda doubt the latter).
I think that’s about it for now…if I think of anything else, I will certainly tell you.

*the simple things in life make me happy. yes, family, friends, love and all that stuff make me happy. but i mean just the joy of living. being able to live in a free country. the beauty of nature makes me happy. being able to wake up and see all the beauty that surrounds me. also all the differences in the world is something i greatly treasure. other people may not, but i'm not everyone else. i like being able to see the variety of differences everday. because being different is what makes me who i am.*

Everything makes me happy. See, I have the mindset that there are always pros in the situation. So, my boyfriend breaks up with me. Sure, I'm sad because he's gone now, but I'm happy for the time we did spend together.

I've just decided to focus on being happy that I'm alive and healthy. I usually feel happy regardless of what day of the week it is, even Mondays.
