I don't think you require reasons to love a person or an object or a phenomenon like music , art or painting. It is spontaneous and without any expextation in return. A mother loves her child without expecting anything in return. The moment you have expectation in return it is not love. Love just happens and you can't make anyone love other.

The only love I know is the feeling I feel for my children. To love someone so much and have it be based on nothing at all other than the fact that they were born is amazing. I thought I loved their mother but I was wrong. The so called love I felt for her was more like some sick anxiety inducing combination of lust and jealousy.

Speaking from experience, no. I'm in love and I can only name the things I LIKE about him. Love is complex thing. I think it's best left untouched by philosophers, who, if they're not really really terrible, might wreck the whole thing.

Unfortunetly appearance is important to many people in this world. Love to me is understanding, connecting, trusting someone in a very deep way. That is love.

acc to one good book, there can be no "why-love", but only "just-love".love is so precious becoz you don't love a set of features&merits of some person, but you love just him or her, you don't need anybody else with the same set of positive characteristics. why search for the explanation of love? why not just love?
