Why is it that money always speaks in western culture, whereas people don't care about, or want to help, each other. It is now the case everywhere in the world. Why?

We have lots of statistics on the world religions. They are usually given to us by governments or some other special interst group. I personally grew up Catholic, but gave it up long ago because it just didn't fit what I felt in my soul. I consider myself Wiccan. I'm just curious about how other feel. Thanks and Blessed Be.

By abstraction I mean the human capacity for generalization and association. It's one of our most powerful mental tools, and it's use can lead to more "fundamental truths."

At some point though, the loss of accuracy must outweigh any additional benefit. A white canvas in theory reflects every color from every pixel and thus reflects every picture that can ever be, but as art, it has no value at all.

How does one recognize that threshold where further abstraction is unproductive?

What act do you get so involved in that you "disappear?"

It's as if YOU are no longer there and just the act of creating or whatever it is your doing takes on a life of it's own. The creating/creation moves thru you and you really are just a vessel. No thoughts. The dancer becomes the dance so to speak.

We have now discovered that the beginning of the universe came with the Big Bang... a single, compressed ball of matter that exploded and expanded, eventually becoming the universe that we know today.
But what about before the big bang? Where did that ball of matter come from?
And when the universe ends, if it ever does, will time continue to move forward? Can there be time when there's no matter? Without movement or change, does the concept of time flow exist?

What do you think... is time finite or infinite? Linear or cyclical? Is the past and future 'stored' somewhere or does it cease to exist as the present unfolds?

OK, we all know humans have a hard time getting along, but even in the Animal Kingdom, there is never peace. Predators are continuously hunting their prey and because Man still has his animal instincts, peace will never be possible
