This will depend on each individual perspective on life. Life is full of options and choices as each human has different perception when it comes to selection. How do you want to live your life? The complications of life are varied for each individual when they are determining to sort out the life they want to live. Some are happy living in a simple life and less worries. Some might felt that this type of life is too simple and no challenge at all. As for this type of people, they will be in the rat race and trying very hard to get out of it, hence life became complex as the selection of choices became wider.

For instance, if you can choose between a box of cigarettes or a box of chocolate…Which one will you choose? Cigarettes are new exposure and bitter life experiences for every stick you take but bare in mind, the past might haunt you one day as the more you smoke the lesser your life is. As for chocolates, is full of surprises as you never know what is in the box of chocolates. Surprise and ignorance is the best example which was actually depicted by Forest Gump. Simplicity does offer fond memories and unknown surprises.

The more we attempt to pursue or push ourselves towards what we perceive as the real needs or demands, the more selection we can think off in order to secure what we need. Hence, the complexity of choices began to haunt us and often reveal the uglier side of own.

In the end of the day, is just what we want in life or our objectives in life…the rest will depend on the options and choices we select.

Simple

Neither. Both.

Both...Life has a simple beauty when seen as a smooth, ever-changing whole, viewed with compassion and understanding. When one loses that perspective and sees each single thing as independent of everything else, life becomes very complex and confusing.

Neither, because whether we say life is simple or complex, life just is as it is. And if all of us should die tomorrow, it will still continue to be as it is.

Life is simple. The human mind is complex.

Awesome question.

For me, Life is simple. It isn't always easy and certain circumstances certainly are complex and things can be extremely challenging and difficult sometimes but Life is still simple at it's core. The mind is what makes it complex.

The changing of the seasons....

when fall comes and a leaf dies and falls to the ground....simple......
wonder......love.........trust...all simple(all but for our minds!).......Living, dying, that's the natural cycle of things. It couldn't get any simpler than that. Not easy, but very simple.

Hey Lola,

Life is complex. Past, present, future, friends, co-workers, problems, money, issues, etc.

But you can simplify by loving, respecting, and generally being a good person.
