We have lots of statistics on the world religions. They are usually given to us by governments or some other special interst group. I personally grew up Catholic, but gave it up long ago because it just didn't fit what I felt in my soul. I consider myself Wiccan. I'm just curious about how other feel. Thanks and Blessed Be.

well i consider myself christian. i believe in the bible, but i still go my own way sometimes too. i know i'm not supposed to, but i know God forgives, and that's exactly what i believe. i don't always do the right stuff, even though i know it'd be better.
you believe what you believe.
whatever happens in the end, will determine your belief. i have no real answer.

This is acually something that I have been thinking on a lot lately. I thought I belived in christianity but I never felt comfertable in any church I went to. I have tried reading the bible and praying but I never felt anything. So now I belive I am agnostic with some leanings towards christianity. I still have many questions and I am reading a lot of books in ethics and morality and talking to anyone and evryone on religion. Also I am interested in buddism, but not as a religion, just as a way of observing life.

I note a lot of confusion in the answers. Some say they were Methodists, or Catholics, but are now Christians. Let's clear the air!
Methodists, Catholics, Presbyterians, Church of Christs, etc., are all CHRISTIAN DENOMINATIONS.
Some might call them "sects" of Christianity.
Being Methodist does not make you Christian, and you can be a Christian without being a Catholic, or any of the others denominations.

Wicca is not a sect of Christianity. It is an occult religion.
If you were a member of the Catholic denomination, but are now Wiccan, then you were NEVER a Christian.

I happen to be a Christian., e.g. a believer in Christ.

buddho-taoist. i began doing martial arts many years ago, and looking into the "religions" most associated with them was a natural step. i found it/them far more fascinating than the "usual stuff", so i'm still very much involved with them today. but, also, i found that studying all major religions has provided me with info and insights i would have never had, otherwise, so i'm happy to have more or less created a comparative religions "minor" for myself--outside of school. i also find hinduism and shinto very rewarding. i tend toward the esoteric expressions of each, which, eventually gets you into ritual and "magic(k), of course . totally excellent. so when asked what i'm interested in, i say the 5 Ms: metaphysics, mysticism, meditation, magick and martial arts. btw two resources you might find helpful, given your interests--http://www.sahajayoga.com kundalini activation online. and the book--*the complete idiot's guide to toltec wisdom*. hands down the clearest explanation of esoteric buddhist thought on consciousness, believe it or not. but, then, the inner teachings transcend individual religions, eh? ;-)

Hmm...I suppose Zen Buddhism comes the closest, but I never fit into a single religious box. Wicca does have a certain appeal. I've found a degree of truth in nearly every religion I've studied.

I'm Christian. I gave up trying to be Methodist or Baptist, Protestant or Catholic long ago. I tried to be Buddhist and friggin loved it - the problem with Buddhism is it's way to practical to have any answers to the questions about which I care the most. I tried to be Hindu for about five minutes and laughed my axx off. Tried to be Muslim for a year and didn't make it because the acceptance criteria is even more strict than Catholicism. Tried some of the Native American religions but outgrew the drugs. Tried to be Jewish and found them way too accepting. Never tried Mormon but dated one - BORING.

So I'm Christian. I can be right about love, but don't have to love to be right.

I consider myself Mickey Rooney religion...meaning my own. I am a srious Christian..but non denominational. I was brought up in an elitist church..but no longer under that guise.

Do you have to be in a denomination to belive in the two common threads of the bible...love thy neighbar as yourself and love God and no other gods?...but you gotta love a Chevy 4x4~!
