There are some unexplained things that happen in life that many contribute to an entity that is more powerful. Every culture has a version of GOD to explain things. It's up to you to choose if you believe or not.

But maybe I misunderstand you - do you really mean to suggest that the human mind is the only force at work in our lives? For one thing there's gravity, but we needn't even go that far - your heart doesn't even beat because of your "will" does it? Is that a force in your life?
The mind that rationalizes and asks such interesting questions has a very small role in our lives, but a near monopoly on philosophy! Ya think? :-)

I think that God sometimes directs us in our lives, either directly, or indirectly, by the angels. Sometimes it's just intuition though.
