I'm putting on plays near Nakuru, Kenya, but have a contact in Bracknell, Berks, who could shop and mail things to me. If metallic (gold or silver) hairspray isn't available, I could use cheap, "crazy" wigs. Is there a shop which specialises in renting costumes but also would sell the spray or the wigs or the grease paint?

We have just finished building a new auditorium. We are built the set for Beauty and the Beast in the ag shop and have moved it into the hall this weekend. We open on Friday. THe fire inspector is giving a final inspection this week. Does he have the power to tell us where we can build the set (we have built the tower of Beasts room above the handicap ramps that only lead to the stage.) We are worried he may tell us to move the set which would be a disaster. Does anyone know what the jusrisdiction is or any ideas on how to keep the set as is.

We are staging a musical that is written by us. Never performed before and we need to know how to go about designing some simple backdrops. 1 - is basically the sky w/ some clouds. the other is a street scene w/ old broken down buildings. We are on a real budget here.

My range is from E below middle C, to the C above middle C. From the middle G to the high C is really weak. I've been practing scales in that range for the past two months. The notes are less strained and my range has imporved, but they don't sound any stronger. I have good breath support. (They don't sound strong when I lay down either) How can I get the high part of my range to sound firm and stong? I heard lip buzzes might help? Will this correct itself with scales?

I'm in band and I know how to play the flute. I would like to join the jazz band but I don't think the flute is a good instrument b/c although it is jazz band they play kind of a rockier style music (they have bass, guitars, drums, etc), plus, also I would like to pick up another instrument. I've decided that I wanna learn how to play the keyboard. So, my question is: Is it really hard to play it? I mean, and I don't want to sound ignorant so corrent me if I'm wrong, but it seams to me like just about everyone plays the piano, and can I learn how to play it really well in 1 year?? I don't mean learn proffessionally in 1 year because I know it would take years of training and practice to play an instrument at a profesional level, but well enough that I could join a band and not embarrase myself???

I think I should feel a rush after performing, but even though it goes well, instead of the thrill I feel a strange, unexplainable desolate feeling after performing. Am I alone? Does this mean I should quit?

I recall reading somewhere that what you are hearing when the dancers dance is not their shoes hitting the floor but in fact a recording that they dance along to. Is this true? And can you cite a source?

I don't remember where I saw this but I know I saw it and my parents don't believe me.

I'm just realizing that I can sing any song I know in the right key off the top of my head, with no references notes or music of any kind. Is that something everyone can do? If not, what is that?

Alright. I have been in colorguard for 4 years and next year will be my 5th. This is also my third highschool and third marching band. I came into this school and realized they didnt want to learn. I dont show off and i dont pretend that i dont know what im doing. But there is a considerable ammount of jealousy going on, for pete sake i have my captain talking about me every chance she gets. Next year will be my senior year... After crying after practicly every football game because of how i was treated i dont know if i can go back. But i dont think i can let it go. To give you some idea. I went from being in a guard that went to state, to a guard that cant do dropspins together. There is no leadership from my current captain who is my age. So my question is. Should i do this next year and be miserable or not. There is also a small option of a independent winterguard but i havent checked. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
