I'd like to train for musical theatre and I only have little experience with performing, basically I'd like to start from scratch. This would be mainly for fun, then I would maybe try and record an album.

So, Is there any adult school in London that trains for musical theatre and has performances, too?

see i play piano by ear and i find it interesting, i mean, its not something i would totally admire but thats me. I find alot of people either totally discriminate about it by saying "you too cheap to take lessons or something? you cant be a pianist until you take lessons" and some say "omg its amazing! how do you do that?". Its just so annoying considering the fact people assume me to be terrible cause i cant read music. in 8th grade i did 2 songs on the piano for chior for a little group project and the concert was in 2 days!, i learned "im already there " from that country band and "if i saw you in heaven" by eric clapton. the day after the concert people were like "wow you were good" and asked how i learned those songs and i told them i did it by ear and they were like "ya well it actually sucked" i shouldnt go by what people think but its such a downer and i feel cheap since everyone percieves me as "cheap"

Ok, I just got back from Fine Arts which is an Assembly of God talent show sort of but it is also a contest.I performed a guitar solo that I wrote,the time limit is 5 minutes so I had tons of time and I basically wrote the song with an Intro,Verse1,Chorus,Verse 2, Chorus, Bridge, and Outro.The Intro is a lick that I wrote from a blues scale, the 1st verse is a mix of rhythm and short licks, the chorus is rhythm, the 2nd verse is almost the exact same thing as verse 1, the bridge is picking and tremolo picking and a lil rhythm, the outro is palm muting and tremolo strumming a muted power chord progression. The chords are E, D, & C.I am going to be performing this w/ a drummer at a Youth Service tht my youth group is having in 3 weeks. My youth pastor told me tht he wanted me to play this but tht he really wanted me to wale on the guitar..like play a 15 second solo or sumthing.The problem is that I have never written a full solo only licks.Any ideas on how to write the solo would b great

A little background:

So I am a guitar beginner - I can play the chords OK, can sing sometimes when I play simple songs, have decent rhythm, and I still hate bar chords but I'm getting them down OK. One problem though...

Practicing really feels like a chore sometimes (the hard part is just getting my guitar out, once I start it's not so bad) but I wish I could really see myself improving and playing well quicker. I feel like there has to be some advice out there that will "make the difference" in my progress. I bought a Fender instructional DVD for acoustic and it's helped; I've learned some cool things but I think after a while it will get old...

Any teachers/experts out there with some good advice for someone looking to improve in guitar and develop a passion for the instrument?

I'm 12 and got the big solo in tomorrow nights chorus concert. I'm very nervous and basically just need comforting words and helpful hints on how to cure this fear.
