Not to sound trite, but an amazing voice
is such a gift--look at the true bright side:
She has it, knows she can use it, and has the confidence to go out and be happy, encourage others, and who knows,
make a fortune!
Some do have talents and hide them or abandon.
Many so wish they did, and never develop even that which
they could.
Hats off to you, her and good luck!

My thoughts??? There are about 100 billion other mothers in America who also think their daughter can sing really good.
And chances are, she's not good enough. Just a fact. I'm all for people chasing their dreams, but you have to also realize the odds are stacked way against her. There will be other good singers at Arizona Idol. Even if she is lucky enough to win the whole thing, the odds will STILL be against her. I know, look at Jordin Sparks. She won it last year and look where she is now. But none of the previous winners of Arizona Idol ever amounted to anything.
She should chase her dreams, and I wish you both luck with it, but always be realistic. There are TONS of other girls who can sing as good as she can if not better who are turned away by American Idol producers before they even get to audition for Randy, Paula and Simon. It's really, really tough competition, but good luck.

I'm sure Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood's Moms thought that their daughters had an amazing voices and look where it got them. If she can handle both fame AND failure - sure let her go for it. Either way she will learn some good life lessons. What's that old saying - the best things that we can give our kids are roots and wings.

So thinks every other person who loves someone with a good voice. Be supportive, but remember, people can be cruel. A good shoulder may be needed.

You don't need me to tell you this but just support her all the way. Stand by her through the highs and lows. She probably won't show it but she will really appreciate just having you by her side. I hope she does well :)

Well it is obvious that you are a great mom, and she is luckly to have you as a mother. Keep on supporting your child and continue to let her know that you are here for her.
