Dancing. When you dance you express your own feelings, but when you act you must express someone else's feelings. Dance just seems more true to yourself. =]

I would prefer acting. Dancers will only be able to dance professionally for a limited amount of time then they have to move on to other things as they get older. Acting allows you the flexibility to not only act until you're 100 but you have other venues open to you as an actor (like voice over animation, tv, commercials, radio, etc) that keep you working.

I think both require an inordinate amount of talent and skill. Both also require you to connect with your audience or they won't connect with your performance and your audience will get bored watching you! If you're asking because you are trying to make a decision for yourself, go where your soul lies... how do you feel when you're dancing as opposed to when you're acting? Is the applause equally satisfying after each type of performance? Can you sing at all? In musical theatre, you get to do both dance and act, but you must also be able to sing. As much as I love dance, I love acting also. If I had to choose though, it would have to be acting. Actors generally have longer careers. How many 60 yr old hip hop or ballerinas have u seen?

That's a tough choice!!
I love both, but I love acting more. With acting, you're using so many verbal and non-verbal cues, and you allow your voice to "sing" by becoming a totally different character. While dancing is great, you're still the same person and don't really have a chance to escape reality.

Id choose dancing because im pretty good at it. acting requires connection with the audience. if you can't do that, then you're not a good actor/actress.

acting, even though i'm in dance, but i dont really like dance, i luv acting though, i am really outgoing!
