I have just started learning the guitar. Cyberfret.com says that once I master four chords I can play thousands of tunes.

Em, C, G, D

Do you know some tunes I can play with those four chords? Do you know a place where I can find easy songs once I learn a few more?

I wont' be able to play again tonight.... my fingers are numb. :)

thanks

As a very noviced Actor type like me whos ambition is just to have perhaps a line or two as a character Actor...should I join the Screen Actors Guild?

I have read people on message boards discussing the pros/cons of doing so some time back, don't remember the details.

How much to join and mantain membership, and how do I if you think I should?

Thanks.

The guy who sold me my guitar said that generally there doesn't have to be any adjustments to the neck, bridge, etc. when switching between these two gauges but I'm just making sure. Thanks for the help!

I live in a somewhat small town (less that 9k), and attend highschool. I'm a musician and play in the band (flute). My question is: How do I put-together a group to play, for example, Christmas music for profit?
I know that one must purchase music in order to get playing rights, but I'd like to know the details of process, along with examples of the afformentioned process.
Thanks!

Could you describe your approach to practicing? I seem to play the major scale (i.e. in 3rds, 4ths) to keep in interesting. I do this out of habit to keep my dexterity. Do you keep a ledger and track what you with goals written down? Is practicing different for each person or are there commonalities that every guitar player does?

OK, so the title is sort of vage. I really want to act, or model (for like, Macy's, or what ever) but I am so afraid of failing, or embarrasing myself. But I really love it. And its not like there aren't auditions, because I live where there are a lot of them...what should I do?

We have used 2 GK amps for years for chamber music gigs - running the keyboard L/R thru BOTH (when the gig warranted - otherwise, using one amp, mono) and the occasional string/wind pickup (if not playing acoustic) thru an available synth channel onboard the amp. We are curious about changing over to a PA-type system with a mixer. MUST BE LIGHTWEIGHT (I just bought the 17-pound electric piano, remember?) - does not have to exceed 100 watts total. What do you know? Classical music - must be decent quality.

I saw Michael Drapkin's Symphonic Repertoire for the Bass Clarinet, but it is not distributed in music stores near me. Im looking for something that is expressive and lyrical, but also will show off my technique. Any concerto type pieces written for bass clarinet?

Again, I need something that any music store would have, because I only have a month and dont have time for 4 week shipping.

What would you do if you planned on going to college to become a vocal music teacher: take vocal lessons or piano lessons?

I'm not sure which I want to do...not that I have the money for either (this is for future reference).
