The numbers 12345 represent which fingers?

Usually fingers (going from the index finger to the pinky) are labeled 1234, and the thumb being P.

5? normally it's 1234 for the four fingers. There are some techniques (Chet Atkins) that use the thumb bit usually it's just four.
