I'm a flautist, and can be shy/nervous for auditions, too (I've blown more than one). What I think you should do is find some other people, preferably other shy singers, maybe with the same audition as you do, and practice with each other. This way, you can practice with other people in a supportive environment, and when you go to your audition, you can imagine that the judges are the new friends.

As far as just getting up in front of people, I take deep, calming breaths, drink a little warm coffee or tea, and concentrate on the sheet music more than my surroundings.

Good Luck with your audition!

Do you have a choir teacher at your school? if so, talk to him/her and ask them to give you some vocal warm-ups. I have been in Chorus for over 10 years now, and the best thing to do is warm up your voice before you sing infront of crowds becuz the nerves are going crazy...!!

Hold your head up high. Then go & sing like a bird! You need to have confidence in yourself.
Plus picture them all sitting there in their underwear!LOL.
Good Luck.You'll do fine.
