I'm just looking for a site where I could download music from musicals without the vocals to practice. My favorite musicals are: WIcked, Chicago, Hairspray, Mamma Mia, Dreamgirls, Jersey Boys, Singin' in the Rain, and 1776. You don't have to find specific ones for those though. Thanx!

I sing a lot in front of fairly large audiences, sometimes solo sometimes as a group. Even though I have been singing for so long, how can I overcome my nervousness?

For an upcoming audition at Berklee college of music in boston, all auditionees are being asked to"hear and identify chord qualities (major, minor, diminished, augmented etc)"

What do they mean by this?
For instance, if i was in the audition room right now, what would they be asking for me to do?

I would LOVE to learn to play either the guitar or drums, because I'm such a big alternative music fan. <3 It's my life, basicly, considering I don't like sports, or any other extracurricular activities other than writing.

But I don't know which to learn! You see, there are bad sides and good sides to each.

Bad Sides:
Guitar: My older sister is learning guitar, and if she hears that I'm playing the guitar, she'll call me a copycat, but I love being my own person. It's what I'm recognized for in my class.

Drums: I'm not sure if I've got the rhythm. Is it something your born with? Or can I learn? And my friend wants to make a band with me, once i learn guitar or drums, but the person on the drums is rarely noticed. + Noise.

Good Sides:
Guitar: The guitar is amazingly popular, and it's a one person instrument that sounds great on it's own.

Drums: I'll be doing my own thing, and drums aren't so popular, so that makes me even more independent. Plus, they just look so COOL!

I'm 16 and just enrolled in a guitar course in school. I'm very serious about purchasing one that i can use that is durable and has great sound. I can't decide on a brand tho. i'm looking at a Gibson/Epiphone on ebay for two hundred. Seller is 99.7% positive feedback. Would this be a good beginner? Or would it be a lot of upkeep? Can i take it wherever (e.g. to a friend's to play, to my school for class, etc.)? If you have any specific brands or models i would appreciate it.
Thank you.

I did ask another question, but this one is more detailed. I really think a 50's song would be a good choice. We are having an in class talent show and we need to figure out a song, and 50's songs would be best for both of our voices. You can also name some good songs for a solo too. Thanks!

I'm 14 and going into 8th grade. Junior High Soccer is in the spring and so is the Middle School Musical. I know if I do both I won't be able to do them to the best of my ability. What would you do if you were in my position?

I've been nothing but nice to her and she's openly expressed her dislike for me .She's threatened to never cast me in a show, and after 6 auditions, she's been true to that. And before anyone says anything rude, its not because I stink, I don't. Ask anyone who's seen me perform.
