If you can already sing well, I suggest piano or guitar. The reason: It will allow you to learn the fundamentals of music: Reading music, chord structures, meters, etc.

Just singing ain't enough. Study music as a whole, and your band will flourish. If not, you become just another "One Hit Wonder"!

It's going to be a long while before you can start a band. It takes a few years to learn all that you have to know about music before you can start a band, I wouldn't even be thinking about that yet, learn the music first, If it were me I'd take the guitar lessons, you said that you already know how to sing, so learn how to read music and play guitar, and then in a few years talk about starting a band !!!!!! Take your time, what's the hurry !!!!

I know that you sing well, so you should probably take guitar because that is what you will be playing in the band. Also, since your voice doesn't need much work, you probably don't need voice lessons. Hope I helped and good luck with your band! :) ♥

If you cannot play an instrument, I doubt you are a good music reader for sining, either. Take PIANO first - then voice OR guitar. But piano FIRST will help the most. You are a LONG way from having a good band.
